“Nothing can stop a squad that’s dedicated; fighting for the same mission, focused on the same vision.”

We’ll be back.

no dream is ever impossible.

Urbandale Show Choir, you have given me endless memories that I will cherish for the rest of my life. From sudden change a year ago, to first putting on shoes I had to fill, all the way to January and February experiencing the most fun and rewarding competition season I’ve ever had. This year could not have possibly been any more incredible. To my kids in vitality, thank you for letting me be your student director, and thank you for letting me a part of your journey too.

The best part about this season wasn’t the grand championships or the outstanding soloists. What really brings me the most joy is entering, experiencing, and exiting the stage almost every Saturday with the people I love. And, when we walk the hallways back to our homerooms, there are people that we change who come to congratulate us and let us know that our show is more than just singing and dancing. It’s a blessing to have that superpower.

Seniors, thank you so much for all that you’ve done for me and this program the past few years. Your service and love will never go unnoticed. I have endless love for each and every one of you, and you will always have a special place in my heart.

I take immense appreciation and love in the fact that I still get to do this one last time. But for now, this is all I give to you. This is all I have, and this is all I love.

Keep dreaming. You’ll go farther than you think.
