A VERY HAPPY 46TH BIRTHDAY TO JAMES LEE LINDSEY JR. (aka “Jay Reatard”), FROM BB H.Q.

The Brain Bent group has recorded a sonic ode to Jay’s track “Death Is Forming” off the hallmark 2006 album, Blood Visions. The song was recorded and mixed by @dukeofgustopher at L-Shaped Studio for a compilation tape via Sonic Church Records (@sonicchurchrecords)

Listen online (link in bio), and/or order physical evidence of this audio crime from Sonic Church’s Bandcamp.

@brain.bent tore up The Palace Theatre at @sledisland 2025 in Calgary. The only thing to describe their sound is “frenetic and cathartic,” and this set proved why they’re one of the city’s most explosive punk bands.
