So I sit and think about the Immortality of the Crab.

El más profundo problema:

el de la inmortalidad

del cangrejo, que tiene alma,

Una almita de verdad ...

Que si el cangrejo se muere

todo en su totalidad

con él nos morimos todos

por toda la eternidad

⚠️ SATURDAY AUG 23rd | 7-10pm ⚠️
More talent comes to the Sandbox stage 🎸

***free show, all ages***

Baltimore bands @talkingtoshadows and @fridayjunior__ are joined by local favorite @chicoperfectmusic for a night of eclectic sounds and energy 🧠💀⚡️

The @sandboxbrewhouse taproom is quickly becoming THE local hub for entertainment and nights like this will remind you why. They’ve got a many new beers on tap and are the most gracious of hosts 🍻

BAND BIOS:
Talking to Shadows blend dreamy shoegaze and alt-rock styles, bringing the energy of iconic rockers like Slow Dive, Smashing Pumpkins, and more.

Friday Junior brings an indie punk sound that’s blistered audiences up and down the east coast on recent tour dates.

Chico Perfect hails from Frederick and plans to shake things up with their unique flavor of funky psych rock.

A little bit of everything on this lineup, just the way we like it ❤️‍🔥

Don’t forget, Sandbox has many N/A drink options- these shows are sober-friendly 😉

Our new single “It’s A Fucked-Up World” from our forthcoming album “The Manic Excessive Sounds Of” is out now on all streaming platforms. I pretty much wrote the whole thing in a one day and flushed it out over a couple of evenings hence “Manic Excessive”. Songs never come at me that fast from ether! It was like writing down a dream or something as fast as I can. I played this on acoustic for my wife Marianne (and my daughter Diana!) and she was like “YOU HAVE TO RECORD THIS”! As fate would have it I just ran into an old friend, Rik Collins from the 2000s. He was in the last version of The Seeds with Sky Saxon and The Warlocks and The Seeds did a few shows together. We hit it off great and turns out Rik has an amazing studio right by my house. With the addition of Marlena on Bass the star alignment couldn’t be better. The sessions were super fun and the whole process was recorded and mixed pretty quickly. Enjoy!

Bobby Hecksher – vocals, guitar, omnichord, percussion
JC Rees – guitar @the_jcrees
Earl V. Miller – guitar @earlvmiller
Marlena Schwenck – bass @thebitchinkitten
Oscar Ruvalcaba – drums @ossshhhker
Rob Campanella – keyboards, synths, lap steel, guitar @mrrobbyboy
Elina Yakubova – tambourine, percussion @eyakubova

engineered and mixed by Rob Campanella
