Part 1 : My Dads Goat Curry cooked on a wood fire 🤍

This series of videos will be longer because there's no way to condense this amount of love into 90 seconds. May it bring back those special memories or that feeling of home.

Ingredients :

4l oil
2kg onions
17kg meat
50g meat tenderized
2 bunches mint
2 bunches thyme
1 bunches curry leaves
2kg tomatoes
1kg ginger and garlic paste
4 serving spoons garam masala
5 serving spoons masala
Salt to taste
20-25 whole potatoes

Method :

1. Heat up the oil and saute the onions.
2. Once the onions are soft, add the washed meat. Allow to fry in the oil for a few minutes.
3. Then add the GG, herbs and meat tenderizer. This will now cook for about 2 hours, until the meat is soft.
4. Poke with a knife. If the meat is soft, you can now add the powdered spices, salt and the potatoes and tomatoes.
5. Add water when you need to. The meat will also release quite abit of moisture.
6. Once the potatoes are soft and have absorbed that glorious gravy, garnish with fresh coriander.

Serve with rice/roti and salad.

Moist Chocolate Cake recipe

INGREDIENTS:

1 3/4 cups plain flour
1 3/4 cups castor sugar
1 cup cocoa powder
1½ tsp baking powder
1½ tsp bicarbonate of soda
2 large free-range eggs
*250ml buttermilk
125ml vegetable oil
3 tsp vanilla extract
125ml boiling water with 2 tspn coffee powder

1. Combine all the dry ingredients.

2. Mix in all the wet ingredients with a whisk until there are no lumps.

3. Add in the coffee a little at a time.

4. Line 2 round tins and grease with oil. Split the batter evenly in each tin. Tap on the counter top to remove bubbles.

5. Bake at 180°C for 30 minutes. Bake for 40 minutes if you use 1 square tin.

6. Allow to cool completely in the tin before removing.

*If you don't have buttermilk; add 3 tspn lemon juice to 250ml milk and let it sit for 15 minutes. The milk will begin to coagulate and create buttermilk.

Chocolate ganache :

450g (3x150g slabs of dairy milk plain chocolate) plain chocolate melted in 250ml cream in a pan on the stove. Use the lowest heat setting. Continue mixing until the chocolate has melted and it forms a pliable ganache. Refrigerate for an hour to achieve a thicket ganache.

Enjoy!

I truly hope this doesn't come across as boastful because it was never the intention behind this video.

I asked my husband to take this footage for me on the day that I walked into the @vandawaterfront Louis Vuitton store. A day that I was finally able to afford something in there.

And even though i was confident about my purchase, I still took a walk around the mall before actually swiping my card because even though I had saved up for this, it was still a massive amount of money in my eyes. With sweaty palms, I paid and that feeling of accomplishment is truly unmatched.

This bag, while it exists in media as a statement of wealth or something that shows off how much money you may have, has become a reminder of the many, many obstacles I have overcome in my working career.

So many steps that led me to this exact phase in life where I can finally tell you that I feel successful. Not because of money, but because of the alignments that came alongside my earning capacity.

I hope that this video inspires you to keep going. Keep pushing forward. Because there isn't a defined timeline on the life we build for ourselves and growth comes in waves, in bursts and sometimes in stillness. Trust your path and keep working hard.

All my love,

The new Redmi Note 17 5g ❤️

I've been loving this phone with all the features we need as content creators.

I particularly love the durability and fast charging features. I often forget to charge my phone overnight, so a quick charge in the morning helps!

Diwali has looked different in every season of my life, but one thing has always remained the same: the love, the light, and the coming together of family. 🪔✨

This year, I’m creating new memories with my children, sharing the stories behind Diwali and teaching them the meaning behind the traditions that have been passed down through generations.

Because sometimes, it’s the simplest moments around a shared meal that leave the biggest impression. And my hope is that one day, they’ll carry these little traditions into their own homes and families. ❤️

I’m so excited to create these special moments with the beautiful Diwali range, now in store at Mr Price Home. ✨

I cant wait to see the beautiful shared tables you create over Diwali.
