Four walls found in three weeks. 🤍

The fourth piece from the Crown Isle exhibit has been collected — Sun on the Beach, a small-scale macramé tapestry, chosen by one of Crown Isle's own.

It means something when the people who see the work every day want to live with it. I keep hearing from visitors that they appreciate that original fibre art can be both sustainable and accessible — that it belongs on everyday walls, not just gallery ones. That's exactly what I hope for.

And each time a piece is collected, new work goes up in its place, so there's always something fresh to discover. Thank you to the wonderful @Crownisle staff — always so helpful, and their walls are simply cozy.

I can't take my eyes off these blues. 🌊 Blue Deeps — purely woven on the frame loom, thick chunky ropes and fine yarns woven into movement, all the colours of the ocean at its most alive. That long rippled fringe falls like kelp swaying in the tide — the longest fringe of any of my woven pieces.

She hangs from Island driftwood, and she's made for a hallway or a cozy dining nook that needs a little coastal ambience. One of a kind, online now, and I'll be bringing her to Milano's Pop Up on November 15th, unless she finds her home before then.

Where waves, shells, and shoreline textures meet.

Water's Edge — a one-of-a-kind macramé tapestry in 100% organic cotton on a foraged branch — has been collected by a dear friend for her own walls. She was hung the moment she arrived home. 🤍

🍂 Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone. 🤍

This morning it's hot coffee and a view of the beach, and I'm feeling full of gratitude.

I'm so thankful for my family, my friends, this community, and the local businesses who have actively supported my art — Milano Coffee Comox Valley, Land & Sea, Pearl Ellis Gallery, Comox Community Centre, and Crown Isle Resort & Golf Community. When you're a maker, the people who give your work a wall (and a stage) mean everything.

There is so much to be thankful for here on the Coast — forest walks, quiet paddles on the lake, cycling trails that wind past rivers and through the most beautiful places, the wildlife that reminds us we're just guests in their home. This place shapes everything I make.

However you're spending today — a full table, a long walk, a quiet moment — I hope your hearts (and your bellies) are full. 🍂

The walls are hung.

A new collection of fibre art is now on exhibit at the Crown Isle Golf & Resort Clubhouse ( @crownisle ) — macraweave tapestries, mini wall hangings, and slow-made pieces, each one knotted and woven by hand here on Vancouver Island.

Come wander through. Everything you see is available to take home.

🍂 Cozy season is almost here — and so is some news I've been saving…

Last fall, I had the lovely honour of exhibiting my fibre art at Crown Isle Resort & Golf Community — and I'm thrilled to share that they've invited me back! 🧡

From October 1st to November 30th, you'll find my work hanging in the hallway as you enter the Timber Room at the Crown Isle Clubhouse. Come for dinner, stay for the art — every piece has a QR code so you can take one home the same day.

And this year, something new: my purely woven tapestries — woven layer by layer on a frame loom — are debuting at this Exhibit, and they're only available there for now. Photos don't do the texture justice. You'll have to come feel it for yourself. 🍁
