Powerbait is probably one of the most used baits in the entire country and it all started with a teenager and $50 bucks.

Even though I don’t fish Powerbait, there’s no denying that its success has helped Berkley develop some amazing products.

Also, go buy some hand tied flies like the ones in the photo from @hazyflyfish they’ve become my go to for getting the kids to catch bluegill. by @branden.a.smith

There’s a reason you hear us say one more cast for hours. The anticipation of catching a fish releases dopamine which then only makes us want to stay longer.

Fishing activates our brains the same way slot machines do.

We share some of the responsibility, but this is biology at work. We could be doing worse things. 😂

Worth it or waste? Where I give my opinion on what’s worth it and what’s not.

Kids water bottles. If your house is like mine you have an entire cabinet full of unused water bottles.

If your wife hasn’t gone down the path of collecting water bottles yet…let me help you.

One of the most purchased foods for backpacking started after Oregon Freeze Dry won a military contract.

The LRP was designed to weigh less while providing the necessary calories. That translated perfectly into the backpacking world.

Mountain House went on to build one of the most recognizable names in dehydrated food.

Alright, maybe it’s a little bit of a stretch to say the conservation movement exists because John Muir survived that trip on Shasta.

But, Muir went on to co-found the sierra club and helped convince the federal government to create and protect our public land.

As someone who’s spent a long night getting destroyed in my tent during a solo trip on Shasta, I love this story.
