ā€œI guess there are times when we all need to share a little pain, And ironing out the rough spots is the hardest part when memories remain, And itā€™s times like these when we all need to hear the radio, Cause from the lips of some old singer, We can share the troubles we already know, So turn ā€˜em on, turn on those sad songsā€ I hope these songs find you this morning the way they found meā€¦ sad songs say so much. Returning To Myself (Sad Gay Version) OUT NOW! šŸ’§šŸŒˆ by @brandicarlile
To my friends in the UK and Europe, I need to let you know that due to personal circumstances, I have no choice but to reschedule my UK and European tour from this fall to the spring. I have been so profoundly anxious about this decision and Iā€™m aware that this change may be disappointing and inconvenient for many of you, especially those of you who were planning on traveling internationally, but I am hoping this gives you all enough time to adjust any plans. My team has been working really hard behind the scenes to reschedule the tour with as little disruption as possible. However, due to availability, a few of the venues have changed, but we thought it was more important to get back over there and play these shows as soon as we possibly could. The good news is, this has also enabled us to add more shows which I couldnā€™t be more excited to play! To my beloved Portuguese fans, sadly Lisbon was the only show that we could not make work with these rescheduled dates. Iā€™m so sorry and I promise we will do everything in our power to get back to you as soon as we can. Thank you so much for your patience and understanding. I want nothing more than to see my friends across the pond and I have done everything in my power to avoid rescheduling this tour. I sincerely hope youā€™ll all come back and see me in the spring. I promise I will make it up to you and that it will be worth the wait! With love and gratitude, xobc by @brandicarlile

A whole year of Returning To Myselfā€¦ I can hardly believe itā€¦. And at the risk of sounding as codependent as I am, I couldnā€™t have done any of it without all of you šŸ„ŗ Iā€™ve been thinking a lot lately about how this record came to be. The people, the landscapes and soundscapes, the difficult conversations, reevaluations and revelationsā€¦ all the moments that sent me down a road I didnā€™t even know I needed to take. What a year itā€™s been. Getting to make this music with some of my favorite people on earth, and then getting to take it out into the world and share it with all of you. I will never get enough. Iā€™m beyond grateful to everyone who helped bring these songs to life, and to all of you for giving them a life beyond anything I could have imagined. Returning to myself is just returning me to you xobc ā€”ā€” Photographer: Collier Schorr Hands: @pamwiggy @nhinako_makeup & @maryammalakpour Styling @maryammalakpour Hair @pamwiggy Makeup @nhinako_makeup Jewelry @hannahmlondon by @brandicarlile
I played ā€œJoniā€ for the first time ever at the @grammymuseum last Monday. Thank you to @blakemills @thisiswatt @markisham @sistastrings @solomondorseymusic @timhanseroth @phil_hanseroth for bringing this song to life. Exactly two years ago tonight we were about to witness @jonimitchell take the stage with the Joni Jammers at the Hollywood Bowl. Itā€™s not lost on me that these two unbelievable nights, along with these mind-bogglingly talented artists and musicians, could be the catalyst for me to fly alone across the country to @aarondessnerā€™s studio to begin the difficult journey of returning to myself. But as my friend @cameronbcrowe reminded me recently,Ā it was Joni all alongā€¦ ā€œIā€™m traveling in some vehicle Iā€™m sitting in some cafe A defector from the petty wars That shell shock love away Thereā€™s comfort in melancholy When thereā€™s no need to explain Itā€™s just as natural as the weather In this moody sky today In our possessive coupling So much could not be expressed So now Iā€™m returning to myself These things that you and I suppressed I see something of myself in everyone Just at this moment of the world As snow gathers like bolts of lace Waltzing on a ballroom girlā€ by @brandicarlile
