An exciting invitation to the brandkind community to the Premiere of Raising Superheroes in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. A story we feel will resonate with this impact community and anyone who is a parent, aunt, uncle, cousin and friend.

A new documentary that follows journalist and mother searching for answers on why anxiety, depression and self-harm are rising among young people. Raising Superheroes asks a better question: not what's wrong with our kids, but what's wrong with the world around them, and what we can do about it. Come curious. Leave hopeful.

Exclusive brandkind access code of 20% off tickets, use code "BKIND" at checkout. by @brandkind_community

The scrubs are off. But the good work continues!

That's a wrap on our first brandkind Clinic in Melbourne!

We brought together social enterprises with some brilliant brand, creative and marketing minds to diagnose a few marketing headaches, challenge some thinking and prescribe a way forward.

And one thing became pretty clear.

Social enterprises aren't short on purpose, passion or good stories. They're often short on the resources to get those stories heard.

We also heard from @futuremindsnetwork and @humblebrag.au , two social enterprises we've had the pleasure of supporting, who shared how the right brand and marketing expertise can make a real difference.

Sometimes the key to strong healthy brands isn't just more marketing. It's getting to the heart of what your brand really needs.

A massive thank you to our generous doctors for sharing their expertise, and to our social enterprise patients for bringing their challenges, curiosity and big ambitions to the table.

The Clinic may be closed for the day, but our mission is always open: helping brands that do good succeed.

Meet Hannes.

Hannes met Irma many moons ago at FutureBrand and has been part of the brandkind orbit on and off ever since.

With a background in brand strategy, Hannes has worked across Melbourne agencies, architecture and interior design studios, helping organisations work out what they stand for and what that could look like in the real world.

From precincts and hotels to organisational brand strategy, he brings a thoughtful mix of strategy, creativity and experience.

We’re looking forward to having Hannes in the brandkind Clinic and seeing what brand challenges come through the door.

Bring your brand problem to Hannes and the rest of our brand Doctors.

New to brandkind, but definitely not new to brand and design strategy.

Stefanie Di Russo, PhD first met Irma earlier this year at a Good Design Awards cocktail event in Sydney, they hit it off, and the rest followed naturally. Now, Stefanie is joining her first brandkind event, bringing years of experience across the intersection of design and strategy.

Her career has taken her from design into strategy, working across corporate and consulting environments in Australia and Japan/APAC, and across sectors including retail, financial services, government and education.

Her work sits across all sorts of interesting questions: customer, brand, behaviour, growth, innovation and experience. In other words, wherever design meets strategy, Stefanie is usually somewhere in the mix.

She’s particularly drawn to projects that bring together physical and digital experiences combining real-world touchpoints and products with digital to create something thoughtful, useful and engaging.

She’s also enjoying working with startups and the VC space, helping emerging businesses find product-market fit, understand their target customers and explore strategic growth and business model opportunities.

We’re excited to have Stefanie bring her perspective, experience and curiosity to the brandkind community.

Welcome to brandkind, Stefanie!

If your health issue is about looking and feeling good, this brandkind doctor is your perfect specialist

Meet Brodie, the newest brandkinder to join our community and thankfully, they’re bringing a whole lot more than intern energy.

Brodie Nalywajko is a Creative Director and the force behind Pierogi Studio, working with FMCG food brands including General Mills, Ferrero and Tip Top on recipe concepts, food styling and commercial food photography for advertising campaigns.
Their introduction to brandkind was a pretty lovely one: meeting Irma and the team while working on a pro bono shoot for Worthy Cause Cookies.

But there’s more to Pierogi Studio than beautiful food.

A portion of the studio’s profits goes to the Pierogi Studio Fund, established with the Inner North Community Foundation to support women and non-binary people rebuilding their lives after hardship, particularly family violence.

It’s a part of the business that means a lot to Brodie and one of the reasons brandkind feels like a natural place to land.

And if you’re wondering what Brodie has been up to lately… they’ve just launched a cookbook called Too Polarising!

Now, Brodie is hoping to bring their creative direction and photography skills to organisations doing good helping them tell their stories thoughtfully and creatively.

And if there’s food involved? Even better.

Welcome to brandkind, Brodie! We’re very glad you’re here.

Jo has stepped into the impact world quietly but with strong leadership from Day 1. Her experience with the big world of corporate media and comms is such an asset to high profile orgs in the impact sector as well as founders looking to engage their audiences with high level strategic thinking.

Jo is a strategy and communications consultant and organisational coach, bringing a career that has moved through journalism, media and publishing before taking her into agency, strategy and marketing.

Over the past six months, she’s worked alongside Irma on a few big pitches, contributed to a project with SECNA, and is now leading a project for the AMP Foundation, both brands leading the charge in supporting social enterprise founders and the sector.

It’s the kind of work that sits right at the heart of what brandkind is about bringing together talented people with purpose-driven organisations to help good ideas, brands and businesses move forward.

We’re grateful to have Jo bringing her experience, perspective and strategic thinking to the brandkind community.

Thanks for being part of brandkind, Jo! by @brandkind_community

Is your brand suffering from creative fatigue?

Sometimes, the cure isn't another campaign, a new logo or a bigger budget. It's knowing what to keep, what to rethink and where to focus your creative energy.

That's where Wayne comes in.

With eight years of Cureative under his belt, Wayne knows a thing or two about diagnosing creative challenges and prescribing a healthier way forward.

Wayne is also the author of The Creative Gap, exploring the challenges businesses face when managing creative and design operations, and how to bridge the divide between marketers, creatives and stakeholders.

Wayne is joining the brandkind Clinic to help for-purpose organisations get to the heart of their brand and creative challenges.

No big pitch. No creative jargon.

Just an honest conversation, practical insights and a fresh perspective from someone who's spent years doing the work.

Bring the brand challenge that's been niggling at you.

Wednesday, 14 October
3:00–5:30 PM
The Commons, Collins St, Melbourne CBD

A little 'cureativity' might just what you'd need.

A humble brag that’s actually worth bragging about.

What if your everyday workplace coffee could do a little more?

That’s the idea behind Humble Brag, a Melbourne-founded certified social enterprise making specialty coffee part of the social procurement conversation.

Led by CEO Andrew Mellody, Humble Brag donates 50% of its profits to support Indigenous young people and grassroots international aid programs.

In just over a year, they’ve grown from a new social enterprise into a national supplier, reaching every state and territory and working with businesses including Humanitix, Linktree, Yarra Trams and ACCIONA.

They’ve also been recognised by Winc Australia as a great example of social procurement in action.

But behind the growth is a bigger question:

How do you build a brand people genuinely want to buy from, while keeping purpose at the heart of the business?

Learn how Humble Brag found the right prescription for 'healthy marketing' with brandkind. We assessed where to focus and turned strategy into practical moves helping to lay the foundations for it’s new product to go national.

No big pitch. No polished-up success story.

Just an honest conversation, practical insights and the chance to ask questions from someone doing the work.

Bring the brand challenge that’s been niggling at you.

Sometimes you just need big name specialists for big health issues. This is equally true In the world of brand building. Which is why we are bringing Chris Reay, resident branding expert, founder and executive Creative Director at CREAYTIVE to help diagnose your tricky and niggly brand health issues - and give the lens of huge, global brand experience.

CREAYTIVE is a strategic brand design agency whose work includes some of the world’s best-known consumer brands, including Mars, MasterFoods and OAK. Their team brings years of experience across brand strategy, identity, packaging and campaigns, and plenty of big-brand thinking to the table.

Alongside their commercial work, CREAYTIVE shares that expertise through brandkind, giving their team a practical way to use what they’re good at to help purpose-led organisations grow.

They’ve already contributed to key brandkind projects with FOODLAB social enterprises includingEnsaymada, Etc., Sangee’s Kitchen and Lu Run, bringing the same strategic and creative thinking they use with established brands to businesses creating change in their communities.

And they keep giving back.

It’s one of the many ways agencies and experienced professionals can be part of brandkind: contribute your skills, meet generous people in the sector and choose opportunities that work around your day-to-day.

Hear Chris play Brand Doctor and join us at the brandkind Clinic this 14th October
