Marching with Memphis Blues this year was one of the best decisions I have ever made in my life. Drum corps is a once in a lifetime experience that not many people will ever get the opportunity to experience. I am truly grateful for the family I have made over this summer here at Memphis Blues and I want to thank each and every one of you for this experience.

I still can’t believe how fast the time has gone by since we took this photo. Even though Keith took an hour and 30 minutes to reorganize everyone around for the photo I would still go back and be there just to be with you guys once again.

This baritone section is one of if not the best baritone sections I have ever been a part of. Thank you Memphis Blues Boofs for making me have the summer of my life with you guys.

Finals retreat was great with you guys, even though we had to stand there for what felt like forever to listen to all of the scores and awards.

To Dr. Roy, thank you for being such a great baritone tech. You helped me grow and develop so much over this summer, and I cannot think of any ways to repay you for taking time out of your summer to be with us instead of the Phantom Alumni Corps.

To Paris, even though you were scary sometimes (not really), thank you for teaching us and straightening us out so that we could be one of the top hornlines in open class. I cannot wait to come back again next year and be under your teaching again.

To Zack, thank you for being such a great visual tech. I loved all the times when you pulled us aside to teach us visuals and incorporate fun into the process.

To Mateo, thank you for helping me develop as a person so much over the summer. Thank you also for stretching every sinew in my body during PT and visual warmups. I could not replace you with any other choreographer in the world.

To DJ, even though you thought you were bad at speeches, thank you for motivating us to be the best visual performers we could ever be. I loved listening to your speeches at the beginning of vis block, and then feeding off the energy they would give me to learn and clean drill.

Best first audition camp I could’ve ever asked for at Memphis Blues. I’m gonna miss all of the DoorDash orders after lights out and all of the visual blocks. This will be such a special season.
