Hey Guyals 👋🏽

It's Brandonia bringing you another Self-care tip from a dancer turned Massage Therapist. I didn't really always have the money to afford Bodywork, so I learned tips & tricks from teachers & friends alike in order to keep myself together until I could.

I've learned many of these tricks as a dancer and sharing them with you so you can care for yourself even when you can't make it in to see me.

Sooooo I HAD to make sure and shout out @stylebytipp for her recent event called "International Layers: Palette & Palate" which I had the honor of going to with my good friends @true.love.personified & @athennarh . What a WONDERFUL event where we had wine tastings paired with delicious food from local chef @tastebudteasers20 , wonderful curated discussion about Black issues, BEAUTIFUL scented flowers that accented each course from @flora.tonic , beautiful Black people, & wonderful ambience.

This event made me realize that, I don't often get a chance to go out & just be FANCY. Because many times when you're hard at work being an artist, building your own business, & trying to stay SANE in a society that doesn't value what your soul tells you is your work; you can often completely miss smelling the flowers 🌺

Here's to smelling the flowers, keeping good company, and just being FANCY every once in a while.

Had a Wonderful Second time EVER Traveling Internationally to Sicily, Italy to the @brotherhoodoflovers Queer Men's Spiritual Retreat this past week & WHAT A TIME ✨ So many things to think about and be grateful for in this trip made for us to connect to ourselves, our sexualities, Mother Earth, our Queer Ancestors, and each other ✨💞🌌

We danced, we sang, built altars, held space for each other, cried almost EVERY DAY, uncovered wounds & uncomfortable truths, Ate delicious foods, learned about each other & our boundaries, connected with the land & it's animals, & went on adventures.

I applaud @langstonkahn @alessandro.roz & @lacqua_lucida for being amazing facilitators and creating a wonderful container for our Queer medicine to come through & create magic 🪄✨

And thank you to the all the queer brothers I connected with that made this week an unforgettable one! Inside & outside the retreat. As we ate & laughed in Catania, or roamed the streets in Syracuse. I have them all to thank in getting me out of my shell & helping me navigate the still new experience of traveling outside the US.

Also special shout out to @true.love.personified for really pushing me to make this trip happen because I almost didn't go due to obstacles in the way. But when spirit calls, just know that those obstacles will vanish if it's meant to be and you put in the work.
