Finally got to bring the GR out to Buttonwillow to put a baseline time down. It was a modest 91° so sub-2 was not on the menu this time around. Ended up with this rough 2:05.6 as a pb, 2.5 seconds slower than my s2000 time. There is a lot of room for improvement in my driving. And I underestimated how rough out it would be in stock seats. Definitely need a bucket. Can’t wait to get back out there, hopefully in November. Thanks to @n00dler and @shop.formula.s for all their work on the car, and to @socaldriversclub for putting on these most excellent track days. “Its not about how you drive your car, its about how you pose with it.” - Race Service, probably. Despite a crowded run group and only running half of the sessions (the aquarium was calling our names), my “co-driver” @alexahegre I managed a 1:48 around @weathertechraceway at @gridlifeofficial last weekend. It has at least a 1:42 in it, if not faster, but I was happy to get some track time in the car and feel out the 2000-mile-old GR. I’m happy with stage 1 of the build and will share more details on it later. I might pick up a seat but otherwise the plan is 1-2 more track days in 2024 and no more mods until 2025. taken in Laguna Seca Raceway by @brandonkado
