Extremely grateful to be recognized last night at @fabjflorida for our work covering Hurricane Helene placing as a finalist w/my colleague Lorena Inclan, and our BHM piece on the life of Black Scholar Dr Marvin Dunn winning the category w/anchor Trina Robinson and editor Frank Adelson. Congratulations to all the finalists and winners and seeing old tv friends/colleagues. Continue to be the light and voice of truth in your respective market in the state. by @brandonleebryant

I’m honored and humbled to share that I brought home an Emmy Award on Saturday night. 🙌🏽🏆

This isn’t just my win—this is OUR win Dothan, AL

To my work family: thank you for pushing me, challenging me, and supporting me every single day. The long hours, the breaking news moments, the teamwork…it all paid off. I’m proud to stand with people who give their all, not for recognition, but for answers and truth.

To my family and friends: your prayers, your late-night check-ins, your encouragement, and your belief in me mean more than you know. You’ve been my foundation through every high and low, and I wouldn’t be here without you guys.

This award represents dedication… sacrifice… and the people who never let me give up over the years.

Here’s to more (continued) growth, more stories that matter, and more moments that remind us why we love what we do as journalists.

Thank you all—from the bottom of my heart and thank you to the Academy (NATAS Suncoast) for the recognition. by @brandonleebryant

🏆 The work keeps speaking.

Saturday night, my colleague Kim Wynne and I were honored with 1st Place – General Assignment Reporting at the @spjflorida (Florida SPJ) Awards for our story, “There Is No Justice.”

What makes this one special is the journey this story has taken. It was nominated for a Suncoast Emmy last year and has also earned FABJ, Telly and Communicator Awards recognition. Different awards, different rooms, but the same reminder: when you tell stories that matter, people notice.

I’m incredibly proud of the work Kim and I continue to create together — and even more grateful to know the story continues to resonate.

Big congratulations to all of our friends and colleagues who brought home 1st Place and or a finalist in their respective categories. Well deserved.

Stay humble. Do the work. Let the work speak.

Keep Moving With Purpose:

A TIME was had fellowship, speaking, networking, and meaningful conversations at NABJ this year. I’m leaving with more than lessons; I’m leaving encouraged, inspired, and reminded of the power of relationships and purpose.

Sometimes the next step isn’t about changing direction; it’s about pivoting…..growing, and finding new ways to become better at what you do. Keep building, keep believing, and keep moving forward; there’s still so much ahead, both professionally and personally to thrive towards.

Until NABJ Houston 2027…Thank you Atlanta. 🔥

Honored and grateful to be named a finalist for the Florida Association of Broadcast Journalists Awards Saturday night.

Nominated for:

• Team Coverage (the same story that earned us a 2025 Suncoast Emmy 🏆) 2nd place

Proud of the work, my colleagues on these stories, and the commitment to telling stories that matter. Win or not, it’s a blessing to be recognized among some of the best in the state of Florida. Congratulations to all of the finalists and winners tonight.

…it’s not everyday you meet and have a conversation with someone who you watched in classrooms and aboard about science, weather patterns, climate change, and others related issues while you both are at the same hotel awaiting for your rooms.
