Mom……. It’s been a few weeks now and it still doesn’t feel real, still waiting for your everyday morning text…. After losing all my grandparents and Dad by the time I was 16 you kept me together in more ways than one can comprehend. In a world where I never felt understood ,you understood me like no one else in this world! Your passion for nature and the calm person you were made me who I am today and you always let me be ME!! Whether I was risking my life racing bikes and getting me to races all over this province and at all cost, hospital trips and all or camping and going into remote places with no contact, 40yrs old and I still made her say “please be careful” but never once said no and not to mention my dog was one of your grandkids. They say time heals but it doesn’t, you grow and change and I have forever changed. I can only strive to become the person you were and the positive impact you had on everyone around you. It’s been overwhelming but thank you to everyone who reached out and came it truly showed the love everyone had for her. I don’t want or need sympathy but do me this one favour and hug and tell your mom you love her if you still can! by @brandonoutside321
