2025 was the year to remember. Ordination, graduation, and pastoral appointment, literally back to back.
•
After graduating, people kept asking me what I was doing next. I said, “Living my life.” That’s precisely what I did. As much as I poured out in seminary, and all the pouring I’ve done for 6 months so far as a pastor, it was vital that I poured back into myself and got back to what I love to do. I went to 7 museums, five concerts, a couple of festivals, a Broadway show, and celebrated so much life and love. Baybeee, I was outside!!
•
Most importantly, I celebrated myself. 2025 taught me how to live and be. As I enter 2026, I’m going full throttle. God is moving, a wonderful change is coming, and I’m going to live and be fully what God called me to be. Cheers to loving, living, and being. by @brandxbrad

This has been a journey, but it’s a journey I don’t take for granted. Looking back at that first picture, I can truly agree with those who said that this is my time. I’m thankful that I made it here at this point in my life. I’m thankful for the growth, the disciple, the tears, and the joy. I’m grateful for those who have been by my side through this entire journey. I’m thankful for every family member, pastor, teacher, mentor, friend (From Allen to Grant Chapel to ODP to GMZ to Princeton Seminary) that has continually poured into me, prayed for me, & supporting me throughout this journey. Special thanks to my mother, and my spiritual parents and my good sis Amber. I’m thankful for Bishop Julius McAllister Sr. for allowing me the privilege to be licensed in ministry in the African Methodist Episcopal Church. Thank you Bishop Samuel Green Sr. for allowing me the privilege to be ordained Itinerant Deacon in the African Methodist Episcopal Church.

On February 28th, I preached my senior sermon. I’ve been wrestling with this word for months. I questioned why should I be the one to preach this particularl word, but I’m glad that I was obedient and delivered it. My Senior Sermon showed my growth these past 3 years and emphasized that my voice in this ministry truly does matter and that I’m truly confident in my calling, purpose and where God is taking me. While organizing this service I wanted to give tribute to everyone that has imparted me in different ways, from Allen, my family, all the way to NM & GMZ. Thank you for shaping me into the person I am today. I’m also thankful to those who said yes to participating in the service, it would not have gone the way that it did if it wasnt for you all. I love & appreciate you. As the summer winds down, the highlight was my travel course to Turkey. I Thank God for the opportunity to travel overseas for the first time and for the friendships I forged on this trip. From the food, to the teachings from Dr. Barreto and Dr. Carter, to the various sceneries, to the history, and the culture, I loved every minute of it. Teşekkürler Türkiye!!
