Ten years of Lilly 🥹🩵

I was 25 when I became her mom. My OB used to tell me I was her youngest patient. I had my stuff together, but I was definitely bulldozing my way through life.

And in ten years, she’s taught me so much.

Mostly to stay curious. Lilly has always been a do-er. She’s determined all on her own. I love that about her, and I know watching her has changed me in so many ways!

This summer, just the two of us riding horses through Montana, I remember looking over at her and seeing the little girl she’s always been and this whole new version of her emerging at the same time 🥲

Now she’s ten…

Honestly the cutest experience of the whole trip!

A family-owned alpaca farm in Montana 🦙 the owners left their careers to do this, and you can feel it. These animals are so loved 🤎

Camden got Inka. Lilly got Sesame. Mine was Mochi.

Started a tradition a couple years ago, a month in Mexico, remote. Turns out that was just the beginning.

Every year surprises me. The place, the plan, none of it ever goes exactly how I imagine. But as my friend @mollylovesmornings says, you could spend a summer in a barn and it would be beautiful ✨

Not the big moments, ones that become the tradition.

We didn’t even scratch the surface last time 🌋

2020, Lilly was four and a half. I was four months pregnant with Camden, he was just a bump along for the ride🤰🏻

Now she’s almost ten, taking it all in with fresh eyes. And Camden is five, basically a little older than she was then, wide eyed for every bear & every bison 🦬

Nobody fell asleep this time. The days have been long and so well lived!

Yellowstone isn’t done with us yet 🩵
