What an amazing trip we had! We laughed and cried and fussed and cussed, but I wouldn’t give anything for any moment I get to have with these two beautiful and wonderful young women of mine, @fowlerjaneblanton @scoutblanton . I have beat them up with early mornings, walking, all the transports and our heavy ass luggage. But we did it on our own, and, hopefully, I have given them, at least, some confidence in life that even if it feels unsafe, unsure, maybe even scary, they, too, can do it. Dear Allegro,

What a beautiful gift you have given me and my family! In 2012 From the very first Christmas Recital to now the last Allegro Performing Arts Competition, we have laughed and cried, screamed and hugged, prayed and celebrated. It’s not only Scout’s finale but it is mine too as dance mom. I’m not sure how successful I was as a dance mom, but I do know that my girls have gained so much…success in learning to do hard work, dedication to a team, grit to dig deep and find courage, relentlessness to fall and get back up smiling, and keep moving on to the next… next skill, next practice, next dance, and again. It has not been for the awards- but we like to win!- it has been for all the lessons learned, the courage gained, the failures that turn into success, the friendships, and the safety in this studio- another home where my girls grew into beautiful and kind young women. Thank you to Lesley and the Allegro instructors for leading, guiding, encouraging, supporting, and loving my girls.
