Thinking about sisterhood today. And friends who become sisters 🩷 These women here have been with me through the happiest and hardest moments of my life. They listen to me cry, encourage me to pursue my dreams, and consistently check on me when our city/country is in tormoil. These last few weeks/months have been crazy for us. But I'm so thankful for this man right here. I was the most sick I've been in a long time a few weeks ago. @jelaniwills is the BEST caretaker. I started feeling sick the day we moved, so on top of taking care of me for a week and a half, he also moved us by himself and unpacked everything. And he never complained. Seriously, my hero 🦸🏾‍♂️ I love you more than words can say. What a crazy, but perfectly beautiful year ❤️

Woof woof, it’s my big day! Today I turn the ripe old age of 4… or is it 28 in dog years? I don’t know, but what I do know is that it’s my BIRTHDAY!

I woke up to the best surprise ever — my humans were up early, singing that weird “Happy Birthday” song to me while waving a treat in front of my nose. Of course, I pretended not to care, but inside, I was doing backflips of joy (well, in my mind at least).

Breakfast was epic. Usually, I get the same old boring kibble and salmon, but today? Oh boy, today was like a buffet at a fancy dog restaurant. They brought out the good stuff — bacon, sausage, eggs... I think I even saw a piece of steak in there! I could get used to this birthday thing.

And treats? Don’t get me started on the treats. Every time I wagged my tail, another treat magically appeared. It’s like they knew today was all about me and my insatiable appetite for snacks.

We even had a long walk in the park later, followed by some new squeaky toys. It’s like I’m a puppy all over again!

So here’s to another year of belly rubs, squirrel chasing, and all the treats a dog could dream of. Thanks, Mom and Dad, for making my birthday pawsitively awesome! 🎉 by @braninyellow

My family was trying to come up with a cool gift for my dad this year (the guy who has everything he wants and needs). Music is something that has always been a part of our lives. All types of music. We have family memories of singing on car trips, playing song games, and dancing around the living room shouting at the top of our lungs.

My dad instilled in us a love for music. And recently, I've just really wanted to sing more. I miss it. But I'm critical and every video that I take, I find something wrong with it. And my dad is always so confident in singing everywhere - no shame at all. Did you know he was a finalist in Jax Idol?! And he did live karaoke sessions during the pandemic.

So, I thought that maybe a good way to celebrate him today was to carry that on just a little. And all by myself...no besties this time. (See Father's Day video from like a million years ago.) I want to be more like him...more confident and just doing things because they make you happy. What a great way to live - completely without fear. So, this was a song my dad sang to me when I was a kid. Also, he once took my sunshine away by stepping on and breaking my little guitar that played this song LOL Oops. Only happy memories today.
