SOLGW MK1 Round 2.

I don't want to spill the deets quite yet, but I developed major issues with my first Mk1 late into its review, enough that it was sent back.

Yes I bought it myself stop asking.

While I eventually want to try the new Leupold dot on here for now it's rocking a SAI 1-6x FFP. One of the last LPVOs I wanted to try before doing a tier list of the 20+ LPVOs I've reviewed.

Okay LPVO at 1500. At the new Eurooptics price of ~850. It's a smoking deal. Decent 1x, great reticle at 1x, really good BDC design at the higher mags (if you're into that sort of thing).

4-12x Vudu for about 300 rounds because I had it lying around. I really like this thing a lot.

Tisha Inconel: Not much to say yet beyond it's heavy, it's quiet, and it tends to get the shit kicked out of it because it's wider than the rail so its scratches against rocks/cover regularly.

No real major opinions formed yet. But figured I'd show off what I think is a cool setup.

Also, 20 rnd straight pmag, now lowballs pls. by @brassfacts2

Pump Shotguns are impossible to mess up!

Pictured/video unrelated: PSA 570 on it's 15th malfunction, followed by rapid disassembly of the entire trigger assembly. by @brassfacts2

Snagged Shiv recently since I got a good deal on it. (SAVED 50 bucks omg!).

Doesn't work nearly as well audio wise as, say, a omega 9k.

But it also doesn't need a piston to function, which is good because I hate pistons.

Recoil impulse is mostly the same, except the gun flops a bit more.

Reliability has been good in the last 370 rounds.

I was going to run it hard with the new Sub Nub, except it broke in under 5 rounds (not a typo).

Hushholster works well for it, granted, this is also my first and only suppressed handgun holster. by @brassfacts2

1.5x-12x PLXC.

It's very samsy to a PLXC LPVO. If you've used one, you get the rough "feel" of the other.

It's of course, very light, amazing form factor, and has red dot bright Illum.

However two things stick out to me that is seemingly overlooked in reviews:

Maybe it's just been the smoke infused air recently, but I find the optical clarity leaves a bit to be desired compared to the Leupold Mark5, and NX6 2-12x.

The turret design is such a after thought that you should just leave it capped, and use holds only - massively limiting to whom this appeals to. by @brassfacts2

Managed to snag the PSA ICAR receiver group, and Magpul 25 rnd ICAR mags.

Mag themselves seem great, and have really aggressive spring tension - good for 6arc setups as they seem to run pretty high cyclic.

The big question is reliability:
Only 200 rounds in.
So far so good with Black Hills and Hornady ELD 6arc.

Barely works with Frontier 6arc. Fails to often chamber. Even manually.
Might be a OAL problem(?)

Had to Dremel the handguard anti-rotation tabs off to get it to fit. Not sure about other handguards.

Pardon the build, it was made from a bunch of parts I had lying around just for a prelim test. If it works for another 200 rounds I'll give it a proper setup. by @brassfacts2

NX6, not bad.
Not bad at all.
Specifically for those looking to use the 1x on their LPVOs.

If memory serves me right, it's strikingly similar to a ATACR. Though I'd want to side by side it again. better than a nx8 1-8x for sure.

Beyond a somewhat aggressive eyebox on 1x, the reticle on 1x being a bit fine/needing illum. No auto ranging, and just falling a hair short of a perfect 1x. I think the PLXC RDB edges out the win, but not by much.

So minor aspects may cause the NX6 for some to pull ahead (like not having a tie fighter reticle).

No I don't think either are better/worse in durability. They're made in the same factory, likely to similar specs, almost certainly with the same erector assembly.

With the 2-12x also being solid, the NX6 is turning out to be a solid product line. by @brassfacts2

Quick first impressions of the SOLGW MK1, and the Eotech 4-12x.

The SOLGW is a really nice feeling rifle, with a lot of polish, the rail/upper interface is something I've been after, and the upper/lower fitment is some of the best I've seen without a accuwedge.

But the average accuracy, non-contract barrel, basic $60 Schmid trigger, no right side bolt drop, malfunctions with bolt release reloads in moon-dust environments, and no non-standard feature makes it feel a lot more like a 1500 dollar rifle with a ass ton of machining work and attention to detail, not something that commands 3200.

Also, despite the Hux 556k and A5, this is very much combat gassed configuration (which I prefer). But it's a far cry from "the flattest nicest shooting rifle" that I've heard several times now.

The 4-12x vudu is the tits. It's what the scope should have been day 1. Acceptable glass quality, tiny format factor, exit pupil is fixed, way better reticle vs the 3-9x.

I wouldn't call it a ACOG replacement, it's more of a alternative or middle ground between a LPVO and a MPVO. by @brassfacts2

Well this may be it fellas.

I uploaded a bunch of different variants of one videos. One of which had the phrase:

"Primary Arms DOT com" in it. Which trigger the warning.
The other got triggered on FRT footage I believe.

Because I uploaded a bunch of different variants of this same video.

I may already be a dead man walking.
Once you hit 3 strikes, you're done. Channel deleted on the spot.

Youtube doesn't care if I delete the videos. It still process them on the backend. If I disappear you know why.

Also, funny side bar. "Content deleted by users" isn't actually a thing. YT deletes the video on the spot if it detects a violation. But the system requires the video to exist to file the appeal.

(YT doesn't really revert via appeals, it's more of a feel good measure, just a funny conflict in design) by @brassfacts2

Was at NRAAM (smol shot show) and then a mini vacation in Pensacola FL to get @boondockballistician and @hoplopfheil their open water dive cert.

Also we spent 200 dollars on Bucces stuff.

Also also, dive wet suites make me look fat, and hop very skinny. by @brassfacts2
