This teen was quoted 2 years in regular braces. Brava finished it in 9 months 🙌 For teens who don't want braces getting in the way of their confidence or their schedule, Brava is the move. Fixed, hidden, and faster than you'd expect ✨ by @bravabraces

Not all orthodontic treatments are created equal 👀 Brava uses advanced technology to move each tooth independently — meaning faster progress, fewer office visits, and zero visible brackets. This is the NEW way to move teeth 🦷

Aligners work well for a lot of smiles, but plastic has its limits. That’s where Brava comes in 🐙

Brava braces attach to the back of your teeth. You get the steady, fixed control of braces with the discreet treatment of aligners. No trays to remember and nothing showing when you smile.

🌟 DOCTOR SPOTLIGHT: Dr. Alimena | @bayportorthodontics 🌟

Today, she completed her first TWO Brava bondings, with two very special patients… her mother and mother-in-law! 🥰

We’re thrilled to partner with Dr. Alimena and her team to bring @bravabraces to the South Shore of Long Island including the #Sayville, #Bayport and #Patchogue area by @bravabraces

“The amount of movement my teeth made in two months was shocking.” 🤯

We love hearing updates like this from DeAnn! Like a lot of Brava patients, she says her tongue needed about 10 days to get used to her new braces. Some people notice a little tenderness while their tongue learns to share space, and everyone’s adjustment looks different.

Once that’s behind you, it’s just you, your water flosser, and the path to a straighter smile. 😊

Thank you, DeAnn, and the team at @raganortho, for sharing this journey with us! 💙

Individual results vary.

Every orthodontic treatment has an adjustment period. Here’s Madison’s, no sugarcoating👇

➡️ Day 1: Bonding day. Madison’s tongue meets its new neighbor and has no idea what to do about it. Cue the lisp and a lot of “is this normal?” (It is.)

➡️ Day 3: For Madison, like many patients, this was the toughest stretch. Sore teeth, sore tongue, and the lisp still hanging around.

➡️ Week 2: Things start to click. Her tongue is figuring out Brava, and the lisp starts to fade.

➡️ 1 month: The lisp is mostly gone, and she’s starting to forget Brava is even there.

The first few weeks take some getting used to. The difference is what comes after. With Brava, there are no trays to keep track of, fewer trips to the office, and no visible brackets.

Thinking about Brava? Madison’s first month is a good preview, but everyone adjusts at their own pace and comfort varies from patient to patient. Ask a Brava provider what to expect for your treatment.

Let’s address the elephant in the room. 🐘

Everybody wants to know: “Will I have a lisp with Brava braces?”

The answer? “At first.”

Like any orthodontic treatment, everyone’s experience is different. Some people only notice a lisp for a week or two, while others may need about a month to adjust. Your tongue is getting used to something new, and it adapts at its own pace.

The good news: the more you talk, the faster it adjusts. So sing in the car, call your best friend, and keep the conversation going. 🗣️
