The amount of beautiful views Alaska has to offer is limitless. It’s kind of overwhelming because there is so much to capture and also take in. The struggle of the day is experiencing something vs capturing it.

I probably spend more time with my face buried behind a camera trying to capture what’s in front of me instead of just looking at it with my own eyeballs. The argument is that am I really experiencing the moment? I would say that most times, when I’m feeling inspired, I am.

The whole point of capturing this content is to try and imitate whatever feeling I had in that moment. So for me it’s more of a journal entry to relive that day just by seeing one photo. To others, they will interpret this photo completely different and that’s out of my control.

So in the end, the goal of my content is for me to relive that experience I had at that specific time. by @braxton.klavins

I’ve been enjoying the forever blue hour in Alaska. It’s my favorite time to shoot. The only problem is that I don’t get any sleep because of it 😅

Convenience vs Experience

* Is part of the experience based on what wasn’t convenient before?
* As in, its convenient to have an ipod, but the experience of finding a vinyl putting in on and placing the needle part of the experience that we need in order to appreciate the end result.
* Its about the journey and not the destination
* So with the fact that we are able to get things instantaneous we do not appreciate it because we have removed the journey
* We are trying to do things quicker and faster but for what benefit?
* We are obsessed with the final result when in reality we NEED the journey.
* There is a whole process that we must do to enjoy the final product because it’s what makes the product whole.

* So imagine if we remove all inconveniences from everything and we get the final result.
* That allows us so much time to do what?………. nothing.

* When you remove the work, the end result isnt enjoyable.
* So does a person who is given a Ferrari appreciate it as much as someone who worked their ass off to get one?

* Does convenience depreciate the end result?
