I got lost trying to find myself

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Life was never meant to be comfortable every moment of every day. To achieve great things in life, to go after your deepest dreams, you need to make changes and take actions that you normally wouldn’t. This can be very uncomfortable, but the more you do it, the more you build up a resistance to uncomfortable situations. It starts in the mind, but real change comes when you take action in your everyday life.

YOU GUYS!!! I am *so* excited to share the OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO for Feelin Good, the first single off Up @ Night. So many brilliant people came together to make this a reality, and I love you all more than I can adequately express. In particular, I need to thank the one and only @shakeshadw for doing an INCREDIBLE job directing AND producing this video. She made every moment an absolute joy (something anyone who’s ever been on a music video set can tell you is NOT EASY) and brought our shared vision to life. Sis, anything you EVER need me for, I’m there. ❤️❤️❤️

I hope this puts a smile on your face. And no, we’re STILL not finished 😉 #feelingood taken in Bushwick by @brbrck

The universe is a mirror, plain and simple. You want good things to come your way? Believe it’ll happen and be on the lookout for blessings! This life can only ever meet you halfway, but it’ll do so every. Single. Time.

The power of radical acceptance cannot be overstated. What is, IS! The moment you accept that, everything gets easier.

Gratitude is the most powerful force on the planet. The moment you open your eyes in the morning, you already have something to be grateful for — another day!

It may sound a little weird, but the part of your brain that generates fear is *right* next to the part that generates excitement, so much so that you can “nudge” one feeling to the other with reinforcement. Try it next time you’re scared and let me know how it goes!

It’s easy to get caught up in a moment — especially when that moment is delivering a negative thought or feeling. But remember: you ALWAYS have the ability to zoom out, recognize it for the temporary moment it is, and take a breath before making a rash decision.

Meditation allows us to create space between our thoughts and our awareness of those thoughts. That allows us to “catch” said thoughts before they ruin our day for no good reason!
