I run a CIC. I know what it’s like when social media is somewhere around number 847 on the to-do list 😂

You’re delivering projects, supporting people, applying for funding, answering emails, sorting problems, keeping the bloody thing running… and then apparently you’re supposed to magically find time to create brilliant content too 🤦🏼‍♀️

That’s exactly why I created The Community Content Method.

Not to give you more work.

To show you how to turn the work you’re already doing into content that connects with people, demonstrates your impact and actually helps your organisation grow ❤️

❌ Less staring at Canva wondering what to post.
✔️ More telling the stories that are already happening around you.

The Community Content Method is available now! Plus, you will get module 1 & a bonus module on writing impactful funding bids absolutely FREE, so you can get a feel for what to expect.

Community businesses… we need to have a little word 😂

There are two things I see organisations doing on social media ALL the time that seem perfectly harmless… but can actually make it much harder for people to understand, connect with and support the work you’re doing.

And when you’re already doing approximately 47 jobs at once, the last thing you need is your content working against you 😅

I talk through both in this video, and thankfully neither requires posting more, dancing on Reels or developing a sudden obsession with the algorithm.

Just a slightly different way of thinking about what you’re putting out there and who it’s actually for.

Because doing brilliant work is one thing.

Making sure people understand why that work matters is another 🖤

And that is exactly what The Community Content Method™ is built to help with.

Save this one for whoever has somehow become “the social media person” in your organisation 😂

I created The Community Content Method because I kept seeing brilliant charities, CICs and community organisations doing genuinely impactful work… and then reducing it to a poster on social media.

Your work deserves better storytelling than that.

And you shouldn’t have to spend hours every week figuring out what the hell to post either. 😂

That’s exactly what I’m teaching inside The Community Content Method.

Because the story is already there.
You just need to know how to spot it ❤️

The Community Content Method is live now.

If your socials are packed with…

“We’re delighted…”
“We’ve launched…”
“We’re pleased to announce…”

Listen up 👀

There’s nothing technically wrong with it…

if your strategy is to throw mud at a wall and hope something sticks 🤣

Because when your audience reads:

“We’re delighted to announce…”

they’re probably thinking:

“Okay… and what?”

And if you don’t answer that within a few seconds, they’re scrolling on by 👋🏼

So try flipping the perspective.

Instead of:

“We’ve launched a new support programme.”
😴 Sorry, not sorry 😂

Try:

“If you’ve been struggling with [insert the actual problem], this could help.”

Same programme.
Same information.
Completely different starting point.

One starts with you.

The other starts with them.

And that tiny shift from organisation-first to audience-first can make your content instantly feel more relevant.

Because people don’t stop scrolling because you’re delighted.

They stop when they realise:

“Oh. This is for me.”

Go and look at your last three posts.

Who does the first sentence focus on? 👀

This happens constantly in all different types of organisations…

Something extraordinary becomes normal because you see it every week.

🤍 The volunteer who always stays behind.
🤍 The people who hype your business up to their friends and family.
🤍 The young person who now speaks when they used to sit silently.
🤍 The family who keeps coming back because they trust you.

Inside the organisation, it becomes “just what we do.”

Outside the organisation?

That might be the exact story that helps someone understand your impact.

Familiar doesn’t mean unimportant.

Sometimes you’re just standing too close to see how brilliant it is.

One thing you could ask your team this week is, what’s happened recently that we barely noticed? Then post about it.

Same event. Same account. Two very different ways of talking about it 👀

The generic event poster:

The post that told the story behind why the event mattered:

That’s 10x the likes just by changing the way the message was communicated.

And this is exactly what I mean when I say:

Telling people what you’re doing isn’t the same as giving them a reason to care.

The first post gave people information.

The second gave them context, emotion and a reason to connect with it.

You don’t necessarily need more content. Sometimes you just need to tell the better story.

And yes, this is exactly the kind of thing I teach inside The Community Content Method™ 🖤

One of the hardest things about storytelling is deciding what to leave out.

Especially when you know every single detail 😂

But your audience isn’t sitting in the office with you. They don’t have the context you have and they definitely don’t have unlimited attention.

So instead of asking:

“What can we tell them?”

Ask:

“What do they need to understand to care about this?”

That question changes everything.

✔️Better hook.
✔️Clearer story.
✔️Less waffle.
✔️Stronger response.

You can always tell the rest later.

This is the difference between reporting activity and showing impact.

“We delivered 12 sessions” tells me what your organisation did.

But what was different afterwards?

Did somebody gain confidence?
Learn something?
Make a friend?
Ask for help?
Move closer to employment?
Feel less alone?

That’s where the story lives.

Activities matter. Numbers matter. But your audience needs help understanding why those numbers mean something.

Don’t stop at what happened.

Tell us what happened because of it.

Purpose-led organisations usually have A LOT to say.

The problem is trying to say all of it in one post.

The project.
The statistics.
The funder.
The volunteer.
The outcome.
The next event.
The thank-you. 😅

And suddenly the audience doesn’t know what they’re supposed to take away.

Good content doesn’t tell people everything.

It gives them one thing worth remembering.

Choose the strongest message first.

Everything else can become another piece of content.

Bonus: you’ve just solved tomorrow’s “what do we post?” problem too 😂

What’s the ONE thing you want your audience to remember today?

This is one of the easiest traps to fall into.

“Supporting our community.”

“Making a difference.”

“Creating opportunities.”

All lovely. All true. And all said by approximately 900 other organisations 😂

The detail is what makes people remember you.

Who are you helping? What actually happened? What changed? What does that look like in real life?

Specific stories create connection. Generic statements create wallpaper.

Before you post, ask yourself: could another organisation copy and paste this caption without changing anything?

If yes, go one layer deeper.

Save this for your next content-writing session.

A lot of people working in charities, CICs, social enterprises and community organisations think they’re “bad at content.”

Usually, that’s not actually true.

Usually, they’re trying to write captions between emails, funding applications, safeguarding, event planning, meetings, putting out fires and answering messages from three different platforms at once.

Of course it feels hard. You’re not just creating content. You’re creating content while also running half the organisation.

That’s exactly why I care so much about making content feel simpler, more strategic and more realistic.

If this is you, comment ME and let’s normalise the chaos 😂

Going viral is not the goal for most organisations.

Reaching your community is.

Reaching the parent, volunteer, donor, participant, partner or funder who actually matters to your work is.

A smaller audience that genuinely cares will usually beat a massive audience that does nothing.
