Tell em, Daisy!!

We’re getting revved up about revenue this Fall bc…y’all… why do we keep hearing the same line over and over from our mayor and @councilofdc when we KNOW from tax experts like our friends at @justrecoverydc and impacted community members hold both the problem AND viable solutions?

Sustainable revenue is not a pipe dream — it simply requires conviction, a united front, and a government willing to put people before profit.

DC is so much more than a playground for the wealthy and elite— it’s about time we started budgeting like it.

ICYMI we have a goal of writing Chairman Phil Mendelson 350 letters urging him to open the October 16 hearing to public witnesses - head to our bio to send yours today!

✨We’re excited to share that the Billables band has selected Bread for the City as the beneficiary of their upcoming performance! 🎸🎶

The band will take the stage at The Atlantis on Friday, September 11, as part of the 11th Annual Law Rocks Washington, DC, where local legal professionals trade the courtroom for the stage to rock out for a good cause. 🎤

Last fall we support residents in exposing and getting Faria Management out. It's taken a village - residents, management, @breadforthecity , community partners, @councilmember_robertwhite, @deptofbuildings but we are doing it! by @breadforthecity
