11 Months (and a few days) of Rooney!

After a short stint of daycare and HFMD ran through our family, I made this cheesecake. 😵‍💫 I can’t believe we have an 11-month-old! Rooney is practicing balancing and so close to taking her first steps. I’m so proud of our girl!

For this month’s cake, I made a banana “no bake” cheesecake. It was my first time using a cheesecake pan and baking the crust worked out well!

This will be my last monthly cake video so I appreciate you following along! My baking journey has been incredibly special and I couldn’t have done it without Jeremy. Postpartum is a wild journey! As much as I love being a mom, I still wanted to feel like myself. Baking was time carved out in my day just for me. It was peaceful, chaotic at times, but overall super fun. I really hope Rooney enjoys her future birthday cakes… and if not there’s always @pepperidgefarm that will save the day.

Over the summer, I joined a community garden and yesterday was my last day at the plot. I’ve truly enjoyed growing these blooms and the ability to meet some fellow gardeners!

10 Months of Roo! 🌻

Our busy baby girl is full of energy and joy (when she’s not crying over her teeth)… Rooney is very into clapping, stealing our Switch controllers, and sleeping through the night (a win for us all).

For her 10th cake, I made a gluten free s’mores cake! It’s summertime and summertime means s’mores. It was a two-layer chocolate cake with chocolate icing and a dripped ganache all from scratch! I added toasted marshmallows and gluten free graham crackers on top as well. It was decadent. It was messy. It was all things S’MORE.
