This Friday, we’re talking about forgiveness through The Lord’s Prayer. It’s a word we hear often, but Jesus gives it a depth, and meaning that can change the way we see God, others, and ourselves.

The New Testament was written in Greek, and the word Jesus used for “forgive” gives us a deeper picture of what biblical forgiveness means.

Jesus talked about forgiveness as a debt being released. When we forgive, we’re choosing not to collect what we’re owed, just as God has forgiven our debt through Christ.

Holding onto a debt keeps us bound to it. Forgiveness doesn’t say, “What happened was okay.“ It says, “I’m trusting God with it.“

Blown away by God, our Father! 🤍

We looked at His holiness and how He calls us to be holy.

A powerful reminder from the night: God doesn’t want to compete with everything else for our attention. He desires our affection, our hearts, and a real relationship with Him.

Loved the conversations, the laughter, and all the new friends around the table.
