Could a new gene therapy help muscles manage blood glucose levels in people with type 1 diabetes (T1D)?

Kriya Therapeutics presented their research at the Breakthrough T1D Clinical Research Congress over the weekend, sharing how glucokinase gene therapy could help stabilise blood glucose levels in people who’ve had T1D for several years.

Complications from type 1 diabetes (T1D) can feel difficult to navigate, but you don't have to figure it out on your own.

If you’ve been diagnosed with a complication, remember to take it 1 step at a time. Ask questions, stay connected with your care team, and lean on the people you love for support.

The more you know about potential complications, the better prepared you can be to recognise changes and get help when you need it.
