Is it just me, or has high school dance culture turned into a low-stakes, low-effort political game? I usually NEVER do this and I am not an influencer BUT I have thought a lot about it and thought it would be fun to compare “then” vs. “now” with highschool dances and honestly, we all need a script because I don’t know how we can keep up!

(I had to use AI to generate some funny visuals to bring all of this chaotic logic to life 🤖🎨)

Swipe through the 7 rules of modern high school dances:
1️⃣ The “Cardboard & Sharpie” Ask 📝
2️⃣ The “Pre-Ask” Text Treaty 📱
3️⃣ The Pre-Commitment Rejection 💔
4️⃣ The 2-Month Timeline Chaos 📅
5️⃣ Group-Asking Only (No Romances Allowed) 👥
6️⃣ The Gym Locker Room Mosh Pit 👔💥
7️⃣ The Exclusive “Ditch & Switch” Plot Twist 🔄

Parents who survived full-room decorating, slow dances, and actual dates… please tell me we aren’t the only ones watching this unfold in complete confusion! 👇 Drop your kids’ weirdest dance rules in the comments! by @breckandamber

Soccer season is officially underway, and it’s already been a total emotional roller coaster! ⚽️🔥

Highs and lows to kick off the season:
💔 So sad for Lu, she earned the starting spot in her very first Varsity game, but took a dirty slide tackle just 4 minutes in. Landed wrong and broke her collarbone. 6 weeks out means missing most of the season, but she’s resilient and will be back stronger than ever! 💪❤️
🔥 Rox is on absolute fire! 2 goals + 1 assist in preseason, plus another goal in her first region JV game!

Slide for the Rox film:
1️⃣ Winning the ball, turning, and hitting an absolute banger 💣🔥
2️⃣ Smooth throw-in flick over the head + getting that fast first-touch shot off before the block ⚡️

Tough start for Lu, but so proud of both of my girls! Looking like a strong season ahead for Rox and lots of sideline cheering for Lu! ⚽️❤️

Starting off the 2026 school year! 🎒✨ Back-to-school pics outside the house with Rox and Lu!

Before all the high school chaos kicks into high gear, the ladies got some much-needed pampering! Huge thanks to the amazing @_katejohnson12 and @ashlyn_tuttle at @k_ari.official for giving these girls the ultimate facial treatment! 💆‍♀️✨ They are feeling fresh, glowing, and rocking bright white smiles after whitening; now totally ready to tackle the new school year!

Here’s to a great year ahead for both of my girls! Upward and onward! ❤️✨

A year into the mission, and it feels like both a blink and an eternity. Missing our guy, Maddix!

•The Shoe Count: 7 pairs down. Send shoe glue. 👞
•The Height Situation: Rumor has it he’s still growing... because 6’6” apparently wasn’t quite high enough to reach the top-shelf blessings. 🦒
•The Leadership Ladder: Trainee ➡️ Trainer ➡️ District Leader ➡️ Zone Leader. Watching him step up and lead with so much heart has been incredible.
•Survival & Street Smarts: He has the local bus system completely mastered, survived a botched robbery (someone tried to steal his card, but Maddix politely—and firmly—said nope), and even got saved from a false stealing accusation by a truth-telling camera! 🚌💳📹
•DIY Living: Currently constructing actual homes out of wood pallets and sleeping on a broken bed held up by a case of Book of Mormons🪵🔨
•Haircut Disasters: Navigating the wild world of botched haircuts and insane local fades with pure grace. 💈✂️
•The Futbol Struggle: Made it through a whole World Cup in Argentina (even with them losing in the finals!). Finding an Argentina jersey that fits a 6’6” guy in a land of small sizes was impossible—until a generous local member saved the day and secured him one! ⚽🇦🇷
•Culture, Food & The Great Nut Feast: Obsessed with milanesa, choripán, spicy mayo, and mate. Plus, he’s finally indulging in all the nut products he couldn’t have at home thanks to his sister’s severe allergy! 🥜 (Care package tally so far: 150 Reese’s, 100 Nutella B-ready bars, 3 jars of PB, and 3 jars of Nutella)
•The Mission Field: Serving with all 3 Brazilian missionaries in his mission and learning Portuguese on the fly. Best of all, watching lives change—including baptizing a gang leader’s girlfriend and the child of a local priest and pastor. 🙏✨
• Neighborhood Wildlife: Still making both best friends and mortal enemies with the local stray dogs. 🐕
• The Support System: A beautiful girl waiting patiently at home, and a mom who lives for that weekly call/email update.
So proud of the hard work, the worn-out soles, the wild stories, and the huge heart he’s putting into every single day down in Argentina. Keep shining, Maddix! ❤️🇦🇷 by @breckandamber

Red, white, and a whole lot of family time. 🇺🇸 Keeping things simple and low-key this year, and honestly, it’s the absolute best. Happy Independence Day!

From early morning humidity to beautiful Wichita sunsets, Nationals 2026 was one for the books! 🥍✨

Our Rebel Elite 2010 Black team took on the Presidents Cup in Wichita, Kansas, and what a week it was. As Team Manager, keeping 16 players fueled, focused, and taken care of was a wild, exhausting, and completely rewarding ride. From constant Target runs and endless laundry to taping ankles and managing blister care; plus keeping our in-room refueling station stocked, this group kept me on my toes!

We were so spoiled this trip, huge shoutout to New Balance for donating free cleats to almost the entire team! 👟🔥

Between the games, we packed in every ounce of fun we could:
🦁 Hanging out at the Sedgwick County Zoo & cooling off at Rock River Rapids
🧩 Escape Room, Top Golf, and Chicken ‘n Pickle
🛍️ Shopping at Towne East Mall & catching the new live-action Moana movie
🎨 Crafting custom flip-flop embroidery and bag name charms
🍕 Eating our way through Wichita: Slim Chickens, Olive Garden, Ziggy’s Pizza, Hawaiian Bros, Chick-fil-A, Firehouse Subs, and way too many ice cream stops!

On the field, the girls absolutely dominated their pool play with 3 massive wins (2-0, 2-0, and 4-1), and a huge highlight was seeing BOTH Lucy and Roxy find the back of the net! 🦂⚽ (Special shoutout to Roxy for being the ultimate guest player!)

While the tournament didn’t end exactly how we wanted, falling in the semifinals to the team that went on to take it all, I could not be prouder of Breck and my girls.
We survived crowded elevators, late nights, matching tees, and pregame lemons. It was an unforgettable week, and trust us... WE WILL BE BACK! 🖤⚡
