Hey there, if you’re new here, welcome! We’re the Johnson family, a crew of 6 (plus our furry friend, Frankie the cat), and we’re currently on an epic year-long nationwide adventure for our YouTube channel, @brecky.breck! Picture this: we’re cruising across the country in our trusty class C motorhome, towing a cargo trailer packed with excitement. What’s on the agenda? Well, we’re not just ordinary travelers; our love of kids and young families has driven us to libraries and BMX tracks! We’re hosting awesome story times and bike clinics specially designed for the little ones aged 5 and under. 📚 🚲 It has been an absolute BLAST so far, and we’re just getting started! While on the road, we’re homeschooling our kids, vlogging our adventures, producing Brecky Breck episodes, and organizing at least 2 fantastic events in each state we visit! Our mission? To spread love, joy, and the spirit of adventure to everyone we cross paths with! Follow along as we do our best to capture every moment of this crazy adventure. Thanks for hopping on board with us, and who knows, maybe we’ll see you on the road! 🚐🌟 💚💛💚💛 #breckybrecktour #rvlife #turnstressintoadventure by @breckjohnson
Spent two nights disconnected from society with two incredible men (my husband and little brother). Nothing like moody alpine weather, crisp air, and beautiful views to set ya straight. I needed that time in nature more than I thought I did. 😅 I love you, Kylan and Brian! Mt. Lena was 👌 by @breckjohnson
Briar raced the Sturdy Dirty Downhill this morning and won her category! (CAT 3 11-14) She had a blast in her first ever WOMEN ONLY event! The atmosphere was so fun and encouraging! Our family enjoyed cheering her on this weekend! (Greta wins the loudest sister in my book!!! Listen to her cheer her big sister on!!! I love it! 👯‍♀️) We love you, Briar! Way to rock it, sis! Such an inspiration! 💖💫🎉😍 @sturdydirtyenduro by @breckjohnson
Pyramid Mountain Trail was GORGEOUS today! It’s fun being able to “wave” across lake Crescent to Mt. Storm King! 7 miles round trip and finished with a dip in the lake at our favorite spot. October is here and we are thrilled! 🍁🍂🌲 by @breckjohnson
Today we celebrated MAVERICK! He’s 11-years-old and the sweetest, most tender kid I have ever met. He lights up a room when he walks into it, man! ☀️ I am so grateful for his witty, bold, and caring heart. Maverick is a rock in our family. He keeps the silbinghood laughing and grounded, checks in on my mommy heart daily, and wants to grow up to be a daddy like his Daddy. (If you ask him what he wants to be when he grows up, all he’ll say is “be a dad”). I love who he is so much. Happy 11th Birthday, Maverick! I love you so much, sweet boy! by @breckjohnson
Thank you all so much for the Birthday wishes yesterday! I wanted to share one highlight from this week: Meet Farmor. She is my childhood bestie’s 104-year-old Grandmother! She makes braided rugs in her spare time and created this one for me!!!! 😭 She is incredibly spunky, full of life, and an absolute pleasure to visit with! I was beyond blessed to receive such a gift from her! My friend, Sarah (her granddaughter) has many of these special rugs all throughout her home, and I hoped that one day I would inherit one of my own. And here it is! Now laying on the floor of my kitchen by the sink, I can keep my toes cozy while I wash the dishes and think of Farmor. Anyway, who else can say they have a rug made by a HUNDRED YEAR OLD WOMAN?! Come on! 😭💖 Cheers to year 35! I pray I live a long and blessed life like, Farmor! 💫 Ps: Thank you, Sarah for helping her sew the final strands together! Made with love by two people I value so so much! 😘 by @breckjohnson
NW CUP series 2026 in the books! The finals were hosted at Stevens Pass and IT WAS GORGEOUS! This was our family’s first time up there and we had an absolute blast! Briar placed 3rd overall in the series as she showed up and raced at every single race this season! Being consistent and showing up pays off! We are so proud of her! Miles crossed the finish line so pumped and happy about his race run. He laid down a heater and walked away so proud of himself given the fact that we just don’t practice as much as most of his competitors. Kylan and Maverick kept it rubber-side-down and left happy, content, and ready for more! Honestly, that’s all my heart could ask for. Our family is so grateful for the opportunity to be apart of the NW CUP crew. Every race has been such an adventure! Greta and I had a blast hanging out and cheering them on! Time for us two to jump on a bike and join in the fun! 🎉 Shoutout to @lennysbikeshop for letting Miles borrow a wheel right before his race run! We love the whole Lenny’s team and are so proud to represent! See you in 2027! 🔥🏆🌲 by @breckjohnson
I wanted to share this protected moment that I have worked so hard for. As a mom to these four children, I have worked hard at holding the unnecessary stresses and pressures of “life” away from these kids. I have worked hard at protecting their space to stay creative, confident, and grow at their own pace. I haven’t allowed anyone or anything into their life to tell them if or when they have “achieved” some arbitrary benchmark of success. I process hard things with them, challenge them in ways that push us outside of our comfort zone, but beyond that, I try to model being a life learner myself. This moment of drinking tea on my cozy chair this morning hit hard. I wasn’t rushing them out the door to school, we were enjoying each other. Miles picked up that guitar from a friend’s house last week (borrowing it until he can buy his own), and hasn’t put it down. Maverick told all of us at the table two days ago, “I think I really love reading. And I haven’t said that out loud yet.” And we all celebrated (even Miles, who currently hates reading). Greta laid on the floor painting my parent’s dog’s nails, giggling to herself about the gold color she chose. And Briar sat close to me, just relaxing and observing. But wanting to be close to me! I thought to myself, “this is what I want life to be- Full of peace, joy, and the willingness to feel such a belonging, that you can just sing and play and make messes or mistakes in the living room. Thank you, God!” I pray that if you’re reading this, you’ve experienced that same feeling in your life. That the people who pour into you, and those you pour into, feel that love and connection as well. This truly is what life is all about. I know this post is cheesy as I’ll get out (scroll on, Kylan 😅). But I just felt that some of you needed that reminder. Take a deep breath, check the inventory in your life, and remember to prioritize YOUR values. Love to you, friends! 💖 by @breckjohnson
It’s (almost) official! My mom and dad are MOVING BACK to the Olympic Peninsula!!! We could not be more thrilled! This morning, the kids and I walked my mom to her new job at Peninsula Behavioral Health. She is a Designated Crisis Responder and has been serving the community of Grant County, WA. But as of this morning, we are PUMPED to have her serving our community here in Port Angeles! Pray that God would continue to protect her body and spirit as she shines His light in dark places. She started this morning, but Dad is still wrapping up projects at their home in Ephrata, WA as they prepare to sell their house and fully move! We haven’t lived near mom and dad since our days in Vancouver, Wa. To say we are excited to have them here would be an understatement! 😭💖 Welcome HOME mom and dad! by @breckjohnson
Mother/Daughter hike! Kristi and Selina invited Briar and I to join them on an 11 miles hike! We parked at the Lake Angeles trailhead, caught the Clallam Transit bus up to the top of Hurricane Ridge, and then hiked down Klahhane Ridge Trail past Lake Angeles and back to our car. We enjoyed gorgeous weather, stunning views, and sweet connection! It will be a morning to remember. 💖 Thank you, Kristi for making that happen! 🎉😍 by @breckjohnson
WE DID IT!!! Our incredible team completed the Atlas Free Freedom Hike - Enchantments 2026! I am so proud of this crew. The training, the fundraising, and all the hard moments lead us to this day! We did this for those that don’t have a voice and are fighting to find FREEDOM from sex trafficking! We did this for the SURVIVORS! We did this for HOPE! We did this so that others like YOU would know that there are adventures that await, people to fight for, and voices to be heard! Thank you so much for joining our fight alongside Atlas Free! Together, we can end sex trafficking! 💙💙💙 by @breckjohnson
Tomorrow, I head to Leavenworth, WA to meet up with the rest of the Atlas Free team. We will begin to hike the Enchantments early Friday morning! The training and fundraising we’ve done to bring awareness to and end sex trafficking has been such an incredible experience. I am so grateful to all of you who have donated to my fundraising page! Someone let the Atlas Free team know that they will generously match every donation from here on out! So any amount you give, will be doubled!!! If you’ve been considering donating to this cause, now is the time! Click the link in my bio! THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH FOR THE LOVE AND SUPPORT! See you on the other side of this scorcher! 🔥💪 by @breckjohnson
