But I find peace in knowing that you are taking your rest with the Lord now. While we miss you deeply and feel like you were gone too soon, we must know that God makes no mistakes. I give thanks to God for allowing you to live out your dreams and touch so many lives with your light that shined so bright. All glory to God!Harvard Law School, here I come!⚖️ I’ve dreamed about this for years, and I thank God for giving me the strength, determination, and resilience to work hard and achieve my goal! Navigating one of the most competitive law school admissions cycles in history reinforced the power of the fundamental principles I strive to live by every day: showing up as my authentic self, trusting God’s plan, and “handling my business,” as my dad would say. Although the journey was not glamorous (the highs and lows of LSAT studying, countless drafts of my application materials, anxiety-inducing Reddit browsing, and chronic sleep deprivation lol), I greatly appreciate all the ways the process enriched my life (profound personal growth, strengthening of relationships, etc). There is so much more I could say, but most importantly, I want to say thank you. Thank you to my family for your unwavering support, prayers, and belief in my success from the moment I started this pre-law journey to the very end. Thank you to my friends for your patience, understanding, and gentleness during my crashouts and canceled plans lol. Thank you to my mentors and advisors for your genuine guidance and for never being too busy for me. I am eternally grateful and blessed to have such a vast support network of people who contributed to my success! Charles Hamilton Houston proclaimed that lawyers can either be parasites on society or social engineers.
