Makeup OG’s know hitting pan is basically the highest compliment you can give a product. loved her downnnn & restocked 🛍️

Well, this is my haircare version of hitting pan , or the bottom of the bottle .

& coming from someone who has access to a ridiculous amount of professional haircare, actually finishing a product AND spending my own money to replace it says a lot

If you want a full extension clientele, it takes more than beads and string.

You can have a beautiful install. Know every method. Take every class.

But if you’re asking someone to sit in your chair every 6–10 weeks and sometimes invest more than their mortgage into their hair, you need to ask yourself a harder question:

Are you showing up at the level you’re asking them to invest?

And not just when they’re new.

Again and again. Every appointment. For years.

Because keeping an extension client requires a different level of care.

They need to know they can tell you when something doesn’t feel right without feeling difficult. That you’ll adjust when their hair changes. That you remember what worked last time. That three years into the relationship, you’re still just as invested in their hair and their experience as you were when you were trying to earn their trust.

Extensions have never been more expensive. But I don’t think price is always what people have a problem with.

People will spend money on things that continue to feel worth it.

So before you ask how to get more extension clients, take a hard look at the ones already sitting in your chair.

Getting them in your chair is one skill.

Building the kind of relationship that keeps them there for years is another.

The goal of coaching with me has never been for you to learn how to copy + paste my install.

Because eventually you have to go back to your own chair, without me standing next to you, and a real human is going to sit down with a head of hair that looks nothing like the one we practiced on.

That’s why I care so much about teaching the thought process behind what we’re doing. Why did we put the row there? Why are we stacking that hair? What am I seeing in her density, her color, her lifestyle that’s making me choose one thing over another?

Because if you understand how we got to the decision, you can make a completely different decision when the next client needs it.

She’s been working with me for about six weeks, and this was her first model, who just so happened to be Aya, another one of our students.

And getting to stand back and watch her start making those decisions on her own was fucking cool.

I don’t want to teach you how to install extensions like me.

I want to teach you how to think through extensions so you don’t need me standing next to you forever. by @breeanna.809
