Nibs-ception? For @fanforfest I made myself a Nibs costume. For the uneducated, Nibs is the best of Peter pans lost boys. Nibs is also what my family call me. Nibs is also a massive source of emotional support. To me, Little Nibs is fully alive. He helps me brush my teeth, he helps me eat, he helps me regulate, he helps me leave the house. There is so much discourse around AI, the environment, and so often it leaves out how much of the impact is directly tied to racism.
I am watching people turn away from the consequences of using AI and how there is not really a gap between the choice to use AI to make a poster, and flash floods or famine in the Global South.
We need to lean in, we need to learn, we need to accept our mistakes and not keep making them. It's okay to make mistakes, the best thing you can do is repair that by amending behaviours.
