What does Afiyah mean to you?

For me, Afiyah is more than well-being. It is wholeness, peace, connection, and feeling cared for in your mind, body, and soul.

As a first-generation Zanzibari-American woman, Experience Afiyah is deeply personal to me. It gives me the opportunity to share Zanzibar - its culture, history, people, and beauty - in a way that feels genuine and intentional.

The women in this video trusted me to guide them through our very first retreat, we shared so much laughter, learning, and beautiful moments together.
When you travel with me, I want you to feel welcomed, supported, safe, and free to truly enjoy the experience. Karibu (Welcome to) Zanzibar!

East meets West... one meal at a time. 🌍✨

One of my favorite moments from our pilot journey was stepping into a local Zanzibari kitchen and learning side-by-side with the women who keep these traditions alive.

Travel isn't just about where you go.

It's about who you meet. What you learn. And how you feel when you return home.

I believe the most meaningful moments happen when we step beyond sightseeing and into genuine connection.

Cooking with local women.
Sharing stories across cultures.
Laughing together.
Dancing together.

This is what true cultural exchange looks like.
