turning this little corner of the internet into my own art diary. messy sketches, procreate watercolor experiments, and whatever else i feel like creating. no pressure to make everything perform. just making art because i love it. 🤎

a little blueberry study using my dead pretty watercolor brushes 🫐

soft washes, imperfect edges & all those little pigment details that make digital watercolor feel like the real thing.

painted entirely in procreate using dead pretty watercolor by fins & fiction.

your procreate doodles could literally become your next digital product 😭

if you’ve got a collection of random little illustrations sitting in your gallery, here’s your sign to turn them into something.

from cleaning up your sketches and exporting transparent PNGs to creating clip art bundles and listing them on Etsy, the process is probably more doable than you think.

and no, your drawings don’t have to be perfect. sometimes the imperfect, hand-drawn look is exactly what makes your artwork stand out.

i’ve made most of these mistakes (and they cost me hours). 🫠

when i opened my shop, i made seamless patterns before researching demand, didn’t show my products in action, and spent way too long comparing my work to shops that had been around for years. all fixable, but i learned it the slow way.

swipe through for 7 mistakes beginners make selling digital products, plus what to do instead.

bonus tip: keep your thumbnails and listing style consistent so buyers recognize your shop at a glance.

Why do one when you can do both? 🤔 Digital watercolor is such a niche these days & I need more artists to talk about it with 😩

Also, I really want to find a new type of brush to try to make but I’m hitting a creative block! What are your favorite digital painting brushes to use? & do you have a favorite app you use for digital art? Let me know pls!! 😭

if you’ve ever wondered what digital products you can make in procreate and actually sell, here are five places to start!

procreate brushes, paper textures, clip art, seamless patterns, and printable art. you make each one once, and customers download it, so they work for an etsy shop or your own site.

the product is only half of it. how you show it on the listing matters just as much, so i’ll break that down soon.

which one would you make first? tell me below ♡ and save this for your next creative project! by @breecreative_

a lot of the textures you download started as a photo of real paper. 📄

someone set a sheet on a table, found good light, took a picture, cleaned it up, and listed it.

that’s the whole product. no drawing involved. honestly I was worried it’d be a lot more difficult than it actually is. 😅

i know it sounds too simple to be a real thing to sell. that’s exactly why it’s a good place to start. paper you already like, a phone, and an editing app.📱

quick note on the 600+ on the cover: that’s my whole etsy shop, physical and digital, not just textures. paper textures are one of the digital products i make, so this is the process i’d walk a friend through.

inside the carousel:
photographing your paper
editing and exporting
what etsy needs from you
listing it as a digital download

save it for when you’re ready to try it & always reach out if you need help with the process! I’m more than happy to walk you through it. 🫶🏻

comment “paper” and i’ll dm you 3 free watercolor paper textures + my digital paper seller starter kit.

i’m bree. i share how i make and sell digital products and build a creative business over at @breeecreatess.
