POSTS STORIES REELS
A Halloween treat from me to yous: My Fat-o-Ween playlist! 🎶🎃🎶 I made this playlist for Fat Craft Crew earlier this month, but it’s available for anyone to listen to on my YousToobz. This is just a taste of what’s on there, but there are 19 songs/videos for your enjoyment. (And only two artist repeats!) Image descriptions: A carousel that shows thumbnails of 7 videos from the playlist. The videos are Cass Elliott “Different”, Fat Boys “Are You Ready For Freddy?”, Miss Piggy “The Witch is in the House”, Fatty Cakes and the Puff Pastries “Witch”, Shannon and the Clams “Big Wheel”, Ken Page “Oogie Boogie’s Song”, and The Misfats “Where Eagles Dare”. the last slide has text that reads: Fat Craft Crew is an affinity space for fat creatives that meets every 1st Saturday. I create playlists of fat music that we listen to during creative time. Anyone can enjoy these playlists on my YouTube as they accumulate each month because what? Fat representation matters! This is what it looks like when you have very little spoons but need to make a new flyer for next month’s Fat Craft Crew. Ta-da! And that’s what we call the DIY spirit. We are back on Saturday, 10/3! With a very important difference this time: We’ve got a registration deadline of Wednesday, 9/30. Handle that regy reg now, bbs, so ya don’t gotta worry about it later! Fat Craft Crew is an affinity space for creative fat folks. If you are a fat person who’s into fat liberation and gluing their fingers together, than this is the place for you. Come be with like-minded rad fatties who will support your creative process and are excited to make dope art alongside you, too. Video description: Song playing over video is Thunderbitch “Wild Child”. I apply a small round orange piece of construction paper to the Fat Craft Crew flyer, replacing the prior date with the current date. The rest is closeups of different parts of the flyer. Info on flyer reads: Fat Craft Crew. An affinity space for fat creatives. Sliding scale $5-$25. Next meetup: 10/3. Register by: 9/30. You’ll get: light structure, creative support, fat community. More info and register at BreeIsHelpfulAF.com/fat-craft-crew. by @breeishelpfulaf
Shout out to our first Crew for making this first meetup so special and cool! 🥰✨ My fave part was that everyone brought a different unique project: turning stickers into magnets, coloring in an art journal, working on a junk journal, painting Trixie & Katya gnomes (yes really!!!), a Lego project, knitting, paint by numbers, and this neat flat house paper project I’d never seen before. For our first-ever creative time playlist, the theme was Shannon Shaw Exteavaganza, and you can still listen to it on my YouTube whenever you’re in need of some fatspiration. If the FOMO is setting in right about now, don’t you worry, we’re gonna be back Saturday, October 3rd! The reg is already up, go do the thing now so you don’t have to add it to your to-do list. 🫟🖤 Accessibility description: Two Zoom screenshots of the group made to look like Polaroids on a scrapbook page. #fatcommunity by @breeishelpfulaf
There’s a first time for everything: bb’s first zine, first portrait, first piece of fat art, and first fat art club! 🐷🫟 by @breeishelpfulaf
