Over the past couple of years, I’ve been growing in my relationship with Christ. For a long time, I was living my life my way—doing what felt right in the moment, caught in a cycle of struggles and battles with myself.

During the MACC, I publicly gave my life to Christ and accepted Him as my Lord and Savior. Honestly, I struggled for a while to take that step because I didn’t want to let go of the things I knew I needed to leave behind. I was waiting to be “perfect,” thinking I had to get everything right first. But I realized His way is so much better. He made sacrifices for me—why couldn’t I make some for Him?

As I’ve grown closer to Christ and put my complete trust in Him, I’ve surrendered my life to His control. My sins have been washed away, this is my public declaration of following Jesus.

This doesn’t mean I’m perfect, and I don’t have it all together. My walk with the Lord isn’t always easy; there are challenges and setbacks. But I’m willing to give my life to Him and try each day to be more like Him. I encourage you—say Yes to Him!

Acts 2:38
