It’s been a year without you, Dad, and there’s still no way to fully describe this hurt. Not a day or even a moment passes where I don’t miss you with my whole heart. You weren’t just my father you were my best friend, my biggest supporter, and the most selfless, hardworking, and genuine man I’ve ever known. Every day is a struggle without you here. I miss being able to call you for advice and hearing your voice calm every storm. You were the most family oriented person, always giving everything you had to the people you loved. Saying I’m proud to be your daughter will never be enough.

Even though I’ll never understand why God called you home so soon, I’m grateful He chose you to be my dad. I thank Him every day for giving me someone so incredible that goodbye hurts this deeply. And through the pain, I find peace in knowing you’re in heaven, whole, joyful, and safe in God’s arms.
