A year ago, I was praying over this business. Yesterday, I was sitting on the set of @nbc4i NBC4’s Columbus Living, sharing the story of how Psalm + Place Events began.

I will never take moments like this lightly. God has been SUPER intentional in the way He has positioned us, opened doors and placed the right people along this journey to support and speak life into the business!

I HAVE to shout out, Crystal Mazza, for being so warm and making the conversation feel easy because I was super nervous lol. Everyone at NBC4 was incredibly kind and supportive.

Another HUGE thank you to @experiencecolumbus for making this opportunity possible and for continuing to invest in minority owned small businesses throughout Columbus. I also loved seeing some of the other local business owners in the studio. There is so much talent in this city, and I’m grateful to be building alongside everyone!

We’re only one year in, and I’m incredibly grateful for every opportunity God gives me to tell this story. May He continue to establish the work of our hands.

There aren’t enough photos and videos to capture the amazing dad you are babe. Before Aubie was ever born you stepping in as a full time dad for Mir and it felt so natural and now you’re a whole girl dad! From day one, you have always been there for Aubie and I love watching your relationship grow. I truly thank God for you and we all love you so much! A month filled with grief, answered prayers, business joys, many hardships and Gods grace that carried me day by day. My life is proof that God hears, sees and restores. Life will bring many ups and downs but God will never stop being good and worthy of praise!

Super grateful for all the beautiful moments and memories we made last month!

Signs of Gods grace all throughout and here are some of my favorites:

New friends and lots of laughter
Our home being a safe place
Movie night in the backyard
Random hangouts that happen at the right time

Friends that support your small business
Aubie being a ballerina every day

Friends that love and challenge you

Time spent with the in-laws
My healing and freedom journey

Despite the unseen battles I encountered last month, one thing is certain! My good days outweighed the challenges! A good flip through the camera roll is clear evidence and a testament to Gods faithfulness. Don’t let the enemy paint a different picture and don’t you dare compare yourself, your journey or your life to anyone else’s! Instead- In all things, give thanks! 1 Thessalonians 5:18 it does your heart SO much good! 🫶🏾

Sunday we took on the pumpkin patch! It was a much needed family outing and we even got to hang out with a new friend! I was especially so impressed with Aubies bravery to feed the goat and conquer her temporary fear of slides! We shared many laughs and genuinely enjoyed being together and making memories! by @breemonetscott

As your mother, I can’t think of a bigger blessing in my life than the way the Lord used your existence to save mine. This past weekend I shared my testimony in honor of my 35th birthday.

I truly thank God for allowing me the grace to do this in such a short amount of time. Everything from the food to the venue was covered and sponsored by way of the Lord putting me on the hearts of people.

To EVERYONE who made this possible, THANK YOU! To everyone who came out and supported me, THANK YOU!!

At 35, I look back over my life and can’t even believe I made it this far! I’m in my right mind, I have a hope and a future and I lived to tell my story!

I owe my life to the one who died for me and gave to me the right to become a child of God! His love can heal the deepest darkness wounds and truly take what the enemy meant for evil and turn it into good! I am no longer an orphan but I’m a child of God! I’ve been washed from my sin and redeemed in the POWER of His blood! NOTHING can take this inheritance away from me!

I know this story is not mine to keep but it’s for God to get His rightful glory! Share your testimony y’all!! Revelation 12:11 is TRUE!

11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

In honor of my 35th birthday I feel the grace and release to share a more In depth version of my testimony.

I’ll be sharing stories of what life was like in the foster care system and how the Lord freed me from cycles of dysfunction and childhood trauma.

I’ll share how prayer and worship have been critical in my deliverance and how the Holy Spirit reclaimed my life through encounter and supernatural revelation of the Gospel.

This will be a panel style discussion, there will be live Q&A, worship, ministry time and dinner!

This is open to all and youth are encouraged to attend! If you know anyone who needs a hear a POWERFUL redemption story, BRING THEM!

Year 4 🥰

How can 4 years feel like 14?

By the grace of God we’re still learning, loving, experiencing, submitting, laughing, crying, understanding and trusting in the Lord to continue to make us both like Him.

Thank you Lord for giving us what we didn’t know we needed in each other. I’m not just talking about all the mushy stuff either- I’m talking about the things that bring us to our knees when the exposure of our own sin is brought to the surface.

We’ve learned in this last year more than ever, that marriage truly does make you holy if you submit to the process. Just like any other process of purification, it comes with a refining and a crushing. You can fight against it or allow God to remake you through it!

4 take aways going into year 4:

1. Do marriage God’s way! He made it, so His way is right, holy and perfect!

2. Marriage should be done in community of other couples. You Cnt and shouldn’t do it alone! We truly get so much strength when we connect with other like-minded and spiritually mature couples! Total game changer!

3. The closer you are to the Lord, the closer you will be with your spouse. Jesus is truly the glue and center of literally EVERYTHING!

4. A quote by @carldwright that he always says like it’s the easiest thing in the world lol, but I never stop hearing it when a disagreement arises - “First one to the cross wins”! So true- humility is an open door to reconciliation.

BONUS
The enemy hates marriages and unity in general. Everything ain’t the enemy but sometimes you gotta understand that the true fight is won in the spirit. We’re learning this more and more!
