A few examples of a bunch of sonic repair/service jobs finished recently.
Starting with a new acrylic neck to replace the old cracked one, fresh wiring and a general tidy up/polish for this CT10

We're able to fit some more in at the mo with a bunch of different options for jobs available, whether its just a polish up or a full rebuild, we can sort it out! Just give me a message and we can see what we can do!

Replaced the buttons that had been damaged in a couple of wand company 10ths, with new batteries on the way to be fitted also!

Made a new mould and cast some new emitters for a Collingwood River sonic.

Full strip down, new led, new wiring, new resin work, white handle and polish up for this seized up CT11. by @bren.carter

Last week I showed you a gaggle of coats I had finished. Hiding at the back was a Peter Capaldi black linen coat, as first seen in the series 10 episode Extremis.

From my point of view it’s an unusual coat on so many levels from it’s choice of cloth (linen - no other Doctor costume uses this as the main fabric); to it’s cut (what can only be described as a half-frock coat); to it’s default condition (although other costumes have been broken-down, this coat is only seen in this dishevelled state).

What I showed you last week was the coat in ‘pristine’ condition before being sent out for break-down. Well, it’s come back today, ready to send out, all tattered and torn!

I think doing break-down is an art and more skilled than most people would give it credit for. It’s easy to do too much, or break-down where it isn’t seen. Some jobs can be more involved, but this one is an exercise in less is more!
So I’d like to thank @bren.carter for his work on this, and the other hand-made bespoke tailored coats he’s wrecked for me!

More progress! The sonics are coming together very quickly indeed! Might even get them all together today!

Having spent pretty much every day in the workshop until gone midnight, I'm getting quite excited to be able to wake up and not have to stress out about them 😅

I couldn't have done these so quickly without the help of @graciestatham_ shes been an absolute star, helping big time with the electronics and assembly.

Some WIP shots of the Smith1 replicas coming together for your eyeballs.
I know progress has taken quite a while but theyre nearly there now! I'm quite proud of these actually, and being the first sonics on the market with the working red button is a nice touch! It's been something I've wanted to do for a while.

I’ve had a very busy few weeks, delivering a number of commissions and unusual requests!

There’s an interesting story behind this one!

This was my own replica Matt Smith series five Donegal Tweed, made from cloth from the actual bolt that made Matt’s.
I’ve not worn it for years, so decided to put it up for sale and recently it found a very keen buyer who had purchased Lot 42 from the PropStore auction. He had bought part (but not all) of Matt’s costume from Amy’s Choice from a scene where the TARDIS is being frozen by the Dream Lord. The lot included the shirt (a costume department made shirt with an unusual error - the scroll pattern goes horizontally rather than vertically) and trousers, both of which have some breakdown/distressing.
lacking was the bow tie and jacket, which I was able to provide, with matching breakdown by @bren.carter

It’s always shocking to see something I’ve made wrecked and damaged after it’s handed over, but on the flip-side I do like the backstory it creates. Can be quite exciting!

What if the tardis never grew back after flatline and the Doctor carried on adventuring in the tiny box? 🤔

I absolutely adore this little box, it looks so good wherever it gets put, like on the ground in this case.

I also realise, all my posts this year so far are just tardis related.... oh well

Was just scrolling through a load of older pictures on my phone and stumbled across these beauties! Some of my absolute favourite pictures of the old girl from a few years ago now, when we took it out and plonked it on the sea-front!

I think it's the most she's ever looked like a real police box

As you can see, the window lights weren't working that day cause I blew up the connector earlier on and nearly burnt it down, but I think she was still looking very nice as it was!

Anyway, time to hibernate again for another 6 months until my next post.

"This is huge! Well, not literally huge, slightly smaller than usual. Which is huge!"

So glad i can finally post pictures of this, the shrunken tardis from flatline!
Made using the plans for the original filming prop. This is a prop that I've been working on, on and off for at least 2 years now 😅. Who says I never finish a project ey?

It's all cast PU resin in sections, so the walls, corner posts, roof etc are all made individually then glued together. The interior backdrop was made by the ever wonderful @__tardisman and is the same one I use in the full sized box!

This also means, I'm technically now the proud owner of 2 full size tardis replicas!.... ish
