My buddy @brendan.elder and I have been, once again, extremely lucky!🔞 😱
This video shows the mating rituel on the orsak flatworm.🌀 🤎 🤍
Being hermaphrodite, the orsak flatworm, as the rest of the family, '' fights to be the male''.
Indeed, we can see those two subjects trying to''stab'' each other with their reproductive organs.🔞 🤺
Just like breathing, fertilization happens through the skin for flatworms.
So here you have it, those two are playing sword, and the closer will end up having to carry the eggs end be an easy target for predators as the other will be on it's way, ready for more sword fights! ⚔️

🐌 Phidiana Militaris 🪖

The militaris sea slug!

My buddy and I were lucky enough to encouter this specimen (roughly 3.5cm) at lighthouse bay, Koh Tao. 🌊🪸

On this portrait we can observe the beautiful sea slug feeding on what seems to be hydroids!🪱🦠

Costasiella or The Sheep slug!!
One of nature's most successful masterpiece!
This little sea slug (1.5mm here) feeds on a very specific algae, with time it absorbs photosynthetic cells.

🐠🔬 Mutualism in motion
The saddleback clownfish (Amphiprion polymnus) forms a highly specialized symbiotic relationship with certain host anemones, such as Stichodactyla haddoni.

Through a mucus-based chemical camouflage, the fish avoids triggering the anemone’s nematocysts — its stinging cells — allowing both species to coexist in close physical contact.

In return for protection, the clownfish provides aeration, cleaning, and nutrient recycling, enhancing the anemone’s overall health.

This finely tuned mutualism is a remarkable example of coevolution on coral reefs — a partnership shaped by millions of years of ecological interplay. 🌊✨
