Here is a life size sculpture I made recently. It’s a little under 6ft tall. I spent a couple weeks working from a model and then another without one. The last week, to me, is really the stage that is the challenge. To turn the piece into a sculpture rather than a copy of the model. I de-emphasized a lot of things in favor of the bigger impression of the figure. Last photo is to show what the piece looks like with base properly cut. Here is another life sized sculpture I made around March 2023. Somewhere around 5ft8in or so. I had a lot of fun with this one and it was a huge challenge to get the character of the model I was working with as well as make it a piece of composed sculpture. Lots of fun. Thank you for looking!
