I mother to the best of my knowledge.

I may not be the mother you wish I was or the mother you think every mother should be, but I am the mother my life and experiences shaped me to be.

Believe me when I tell you, my children live ten times better than I ever did. And maybe one day, their children will live ten times better than they do. That’s how generational healing works. Every generation has the opportunity to build a stronger foundation than the one before it. It doesn’t start with perfection. It starts with someone deciding to do better than what they were given.

If you understood the psychology behind my life, my brain, and everything I’ve lived through, you’d understand that I care for my children in ways that aren’t always visible to people on the outside. Even compared to people who grew up in stable homes with white picket fences and every advantage, I have fought every day to give my children more than I had.

I do everything for my children. I may be more lenient. I may be more passive in certain situations than you would be. But don’t mistake that for a lack of love, protection, or devotion. My children are cared for, they are heard, and they are deeply loved.

So no, I may not be the mother you expected. I may not fit your definition of what a mother should be. But I’m a pretty goddamn good fucking mother.

And believe me when I tell you this…

In My Dreams, I Sleep with Vampires.

If love were meant to live on the surface,
you wouldn’t feel it so deep in your body, where your heart lies and your blood flows.

The version of you the world gets to see, that polished, performed exterior, it betrays you.
Because real love doesn’t start there.
It begins where you’re unguarded, unseen, where someone has to know your soul before they can ever crave your body.

Love asks for someone rare, someone deep enough to understand every version of you: who you were, who you are, and who you’re becoming.
Like a formula no one else can read.
And if the world can’t make sense of it, it’s because it was never theirs to understand.

Desire exists, loud, immediate, impulsive, and hollow.
Love takes every part of you, threading through you, settling into every corner until there’s nowhere in you it doesn’t live.

Love is the Sexton.
It sees the dirt, the digging, the breaking, the burying, the quiet weight it takes to honor what once lived.
While others pass by and only notice the stones, love stays and tends to what lies beneath.

It’s rare to be loved without the rush, without the internal bodily chemicals that spark excitement.
Rare to be chosen in stillness.

Rarer still to have someone look into your soul, see everything you’ve done, everything you carry, and not judge you, only believe in who you could become.

Love is instinct, depth, and knowing.
