“When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you.”

“But when I am afraid, I will put my trust in you. I praise God for what he has promised. I trust in God, so why should I be afraid? What can mere mortals do to me?”

“And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.”
‭‭- Philippians‬ ‭1‬:‭6‬

I am so grateful to have gone to Motion Conference this year!! For many years I have struggled with temptation and sin and during College community groups, they talked about different blocks on how to build a friendship with Jesus. Well they asked what was one block you want to work on and the one that stood out to me the most was warring. I had been in sin for so long and have been frustrated and constantly asking myself questions. The same questions Paul asks. While thinking about my sin and the shame I had been in, I was searching for the verse I had seen while fighting against this war and I confessed it to my group.

The Lord has freed me. The chains are broken. If God can take a broken person as me and use me for His glory, He can surely use you.

“The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure.”
‭‭- 1 Corinthians‬ ‭10‬:‭13‬

Thank you Compel Youth, Youth Leaders, Highlands Church, but most of all THANK YOU JESUS FOR YOUR WORD AND THE CROSS.
