LILIES/GROW A HOME (OR DIE TRYING)

This song is for those who can’t find home, for whatever reason. It came to me at an afters, the most sober in the room and staring into a new friend’s tattoo. I should have been home long ago, but when I went to find it…. it was not where I left it. So I stayed and wrote this song in my head while someone talked about David Lynch films and some masterclass they’d seen. This writing stemmed some more, which stemmed some more, which grew into something I cannot wait to share with you. Please have more patience for me than I have for myself.

Between then and now, I’ve screamed it anywhere and everywhere I could, with as many friends as possible. And I will continue to do so for as long as my rattling voice will allow.

This song means the world to me and to share this silly little scream-a-long has put a very wide and bright smile on this tired face. one thing is always true: I do it all for the wee man. I hope you enjoy x

BRANDY AND BOTTLES OF WINE. OUT NOW ON ALL STREAMING PLATFORMS.
.
This marks the start of the countdown to the release of my second album ‘So Much Joy’ which will be out on 29th January 2027.
.
Brandy is a song that you’ve all been waiting for a long time. It was written back in January 2024 during a spell of dry January. It’s a song that is close to my heart and we love to play it as a band. It’s a song about seeking answers in the dark.
.
Thank you to the boys in the band for their incredible musicianship and support and to Gus for his direction in the studio.

It’s been an absolute privilege working with this team to make this story come to life. The story is 200 years old but the themes are still just as cutting and pertinent today. Come through to @charingcrossthr and see what I mean.

FIELD OF VIEW #18 – Brenock O’Connor 🌿
“There’s the music industry, then there’s the music world. If the music industry doesn’t find profit in it, it won’t give it the time of day - that doesn’t mean the scene can’t give it the time of day”.

We spoke to @brenockoconnor about highs and lows, curating a community that cares for each other and where he goes to feel most grounded.
