ThreeA Design Archive — 2016
Packaging + ads for the 1/6th Scale DOOM Marine figure.

Back in the 90's there were these amazing ad and packaging designs for Final DOOM that were burned into my brain fresh out of design school. I always wanted to do a really skeuomorphic style packaging design and this project felt like the perfect chance to pay respect to those ads that I loved.

Special shout-out to the amazing @eric.clark.3d for helping to bring this to one life!

ThreeA Design Archive Series — 2012
Packaging and design systems for the 1/12 scale Kow Yokoyama Ma.K. Kröte figure.

Created during my time with ThreeA, this project showcases the Kröte 1/12th scale figure from Kow Yokoyama’s legendary Maschinen Krieger series. The figure was released in 2012 for the 30th anniversary of Ma.K.

I developed the packaging and graphic systems around the original technical drawings, including the illustration of custom schematic vector artwork, typography, identification graphics and packaging layouts.

The packaging also features a beautiful painted illustration by Ashley Wood, with the rest of the design leaning into the utilitarian model-kit and technical-documentation language seen throughout the Ma.K. artbooks and packaging.

The poster design seen here was only a concept, but I’ve always liked it and wanted to share it with you.

Way, way back in the day when I was the art director for Todd McFarlane, I got to design all of the packaging and promotional materials for the Capcom Spawn Dreamcast game 'In The Demon's Hand'. The final cover art is using the Spawn 95 cover by Capullo and McFarlane.

One of the best parts was commissioning the mighty @real_greg_capullo to do a custom illustration of Spawn with all of his rogues gallery from the game.

Capcom ended up making these killer counter top display pieces and a giant movie one sheet format poster for the various retail outlets and game stores.

With Mortal Shell II launching tomorrow, I wanted to take the opportunity to reshare the studio branding and identity work I created for Cold Symmetry.

Congratulations to the entire team on the launch, the game looks incredible and I can't wait to check it out!
