One week from today, I get to reunite with @djbstee and @djarchi for a party in KC @sound_bite_social. When thinking back on the last time all 3 of us were in the same room to dj a show together, it was before I moved to NY in August 2014. It’s literally been over a decade since the 3 of us played records together, which is honestly mind blowing to me.

12+ years ago, I feel like we did everything together. Threw parties together, made music together as Secret Sauce and I think in a lot of ways, grew up together.

B-Stee is out in LA now with a fascinating career blossoming. Archi is married with two amazing kids and still one of my favorite haters on the planet. I’m still hustling in the music biz running my own company and slowly and steadily achieving some lifelong dreams.

But I can tell you right now, next Saturday night when we get back together…it’ll be like we haven’t skipped a beat. The music will be outstanding. The DJing will be top shelf. The vibes will be immaculate. And I can guarantee you without a shadow of a doubt…we will remind you of a time not that long ago when dj culture, vibe curation, music selection and showing out really mattered. No requests. No jukebox safety selections. No compromises.

TLDR…the 3 of us are going to have an absolute blast playing music together again and you might just be a dummy if you don’t make an effort to come.

Today marks 1 year of living in Denver. This time last year I packed up my stuff and drove out of NY and headed west. Too many stellar memories to pool together to cover the whole year but I got fairly close. Lots of travel, fun, family and old and new friends. I really like it here. 🫶🏼❤️🫶🏼 taken in Lakewood, Colorado by @brent_tactic

Today I’m incredibly amazed and grateful to say marks 10 years of continuous sobriety. The gravity of typing those words is incredibly surreal to me in this moment.

There’s literally nothing more important or trajectory shifting I’ve done for myself in my entire life than making the decision to get sober. So much has happened since that day 10 years ago. There’s definitely been of large number of great things. But there’s also been a solid stack of very challenging moments and events. And to say I’ve weathered all of that time…the good and the bad…without the need to escape using drugs and alcohol is legit a goddamn miracle.

I’m back in NY today to celebrate with my sober community that saved my life 10 years ago and it’s an incredible feeling. That’s very much been the secret of staying sober this last decade as well…I cannot do this alone. Like it’s IMPOSSIBLE for me to ride this wave by myself.

I love myself and my life today and I owe every single ounce of that serenity to my recovery.

If you are, or know someone, struggling with drugs and alcohol…please feel free to reach out. I’m here to help and open to sharing my experience in any way I can to help someone else.

It can get better. I’ve got 10 years of evidence to prove it.

I got the chance to DJ a number of festivals that were really special to me in the Summer of 2025. But arguably, I worked on my set for Bass Coast the most. I managed to be so nervous about this set that I totally spaced on trying to get it recorded. So I did the next best thing and recreated it at home when I had time over this past holiday break. As always, mixed live and recorded in the moment. Coming Out Of The Dark 5 / Bass Coast Edition. LINK IN MY BIO 😬 I hope you enjoy it!

Tracklist:

Marcus Marr - The Music
Curses! - The Deep End (Holy Ghost! Day School Dub)

Today we celebrate 2 years of operations at GDA!

It’s very humbling for us to see how this journey continues to develop and grow. Our gratitude for it all feels especially overwhelming today.

We want to send a gigantic shout out to all the promoters, venues, talent buyers, artists & managers we get the privilege to work with, and an even bigger thank you to all the folks who are buying tickets to see our clients perform.

We can’t thank every single one of you enough for all of your support for what we do.

Here’s to many more years to come!

So to literally no one’s surprise, I listened to a ton of new music this year. And with all the chaos of what was 2025 and how much it completely kicked my butt (for real though I’m so tired 🫩), I’m keeping up my annual tradition of compiling my fav albums of the year.

2025 was amazing on the release tip tbh as I’m completely obsessed with a stack of these albums and a couple are instant classics in my book. And yes, I did actually enjoy the Tame Impala album lol. As I say all time, we could all be a little more open minded and considerate to the creative folks out there.

ABC order as always and you’ll just have to guess which ones I rate higher than others.

Enjoy the list and your holidays y’all. And go support your favorite artists more in 2026. Some direct transaction with them and not some passive streaming on an app ok? Cool 🫡🙏🏼 by @brent_tactic

⚡️OVERDUE FESTIVAL DJ SET RECAPS ⚡️

It takes me longer and longer these days to want to do a static post of anything on my IG feed anymore but this one is super overdue as I got to do some special things as it pertains to my 25+ year dj career this summer.

@libfestival @basscoastfest and @nnmfestival were so very kind in inviting me to play a set at each of their festivals this summer and of course I said yes to all of them. I’m so incredibly humbled to previously be accepted within the universe of all 3 fests as a booking agent and now I can also check the boxes that I’ve now got a dj festival resume building as well.

Here’s some recap images and vids from all 3 courtesy of @nastynunez and @colinmct. Needless to say I had a complete blast sharing my sound and I’m really happy with how all 3 sets turned out. So much so that I’m gonna recreate the Bass Coast one specifically soonish and share it with you all.

Big ups to all who came thru each set and the festival teams in general for showing me such a good time. Let’s do more in 2026 yeah? by @brent_tactic
