I can’t wait to step into this space and move together again!!! Bret’s work spans international productions including the movie Troy. He worked with Kenneth Branagh, Benedict Cumberbatch and Ian McKellen. This workshop is an invitation into the craft of unarmed stage combat - where conflict becomes choreography and every action is built on clarity, control and trust. When? Saturday, 9th of May 2026 Where? Germany, Hosted at @kss_kgg_paf - thank you Vincent! A rare moment. Let’s share practice❤️ 📸credits: Independent Light #stagecombat #fun #movement #theatre by @bretfights

Well, I didn’t win. But it was fun. Shout out to Kelly Kirby for shepherding my nerves through. Not everyone can say that @therealdebramessing dumped a bowl of M&Ms on their head. Brilliant night celebrating theatre at its best. @dramadeskawards @thebassc #fightdirector by @bretfights
🎉 All of us at the IC London Center want to congratulate our long-serving faculty member, Bret Yount, who just has received a Drama Desk Award Nomination for Outstanding Fight Choreography for his work on Kenneth Branagh’s King Lear off-Broadway.   For over two decades now, our ICLC Stage Combat students have been fortunate enough to learn from Bret, who has become one of the UK’s most respected fight directors.    The 2025 Drama Desk Award Ceremony takes place on June 1st, and while we have everything crossed for Bret to win in his category, we are already so thrilled that he is being recognised for his significant contribution to theatre in London, New York, and around the world!    @bretfights @ithacamtd @ictheatredance @icstudyabroad @dramadeskawards   #DramaDeskAwards #IthacaCollege #FightChoreography #ICLC #ICLondonCenter #ICStudyAbroad by @bretfights
