I’m continuing to develop fun new products for readers and writers at The Book Foundry. Today I’m rolling out what I think is my favorite yet - a line of baby one-pieces with some sayings I can’t stop giggling over. This is my booth at Olive & Sampson in Akron! Grand opening is Friday! It includes my art, beautiful vintage finds, my books, my driftwood products, products for readers and writers and the jeweled trees I make. I will be adding handmade holiday decorations next month. by @brettesember

NEWS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have some exciting news to share! With a lot of help from my wonderful husband, I am pleased to share a line of writer and reader shirts and sweatshirts from The Book Foundry (my online book product shop). These are unique, witty, and meant to connect with people who love books and people who write and edit books.

I specifically wanted to be able to offer products in both unisex AND women’s sizes, and I also wanted a lightweight sweatshirt for women as well.

They are all things *I* wanted to wear, and none of the tired sayings that all the online shops are selling. They are all meant to be a bit tongue-in-cheek with multiple meanings.

They make great gifts but are also exactly what I would buy myself.

40 years ago today two 17 year old babies met at a beach party. The party host provided rolls and condiments and asked everyone to bring their own meat for the bbq.

Playing volleyball, a hot guy caught my eye. We talked. We walked.

When it was time to cook he hadn’t brought any meat. Fortunately I had extra. I’ve been feeding him ever since. The moral of the story is to always bring extra meat.

But the bigger story is he is the yin to my yang.

From the first moment it was like we were magnetic. He’s always been the one. It was instant and enduring and eternal.

It’s hard to believe it’s been 4 decades.

People say marriage is hard but I’ve never felt that way at all. Life is hard. The world is hard. Our life together is where there is comfort and love and acceptance and joy.

I can’t believe I am this lucky. Happy anniversary to us. 💕 by @brettesember
