Five months and every day seems to get harder without you. These past two weeks have been especially difficult with our engagement anniversary and your birthday coming up. I don’t know how to do life without you and I hate that I have to. I miss your jokes and how calm I felt with you by my side. I am struggling so bad to understand why you had to go and why we couldn’t get our happily ever after. You deserved the entire world and more. I’m so thankful of the time we got together, but, I’m not gonna lie, I’m so incredibly jealous of everyone who gets to be with their person. Don’t take it for granted. Happy anniversary to the love of my life, the first person I search for in a room, the other half of me, my hero. You were the best friend that I’ve ever had and you always knew how to cheer me up. Your laughter was so contagious and your smile so full of life. You believed in me at times that it felt like no one else did. You were SO patient, understanding, loving, and kind. You made me feel like I was on top of the world and you did absolutely anything to make me happy. I wish I could be writing about how excited I am for our wedding this fall and the rest of our lives, but tomorrow will be one month since you’ve passed and it’s felt like an eternity without you next to me. I hate that I’m supposed to spend the rest of my life grieving you and all of the plans we had. Pictures and videos hurt like hell and sickeningly feel like a lifetime ago, but I’m so grateful to have all of them. The love we share is indescribable and could never be measured or replaced. You have protected and cared for me like no one ever could. You helped teach me to believe in myself and how to grow in so many ways. I could never thank you enough.
