Actor @bretthoughton photo by @greglehmingphotography “I’m working on simplifying it all right now. I realized recently I’ve spent a lot of time trying to show what I was feeling, steering the scene to interesting places, showing I was smart, that I knew what it was supposed to be. That lead to a lot of gears grinding up there in my head. The camera sees it, and it knows that it’s false. So in the past year or so I feel like I’ve been relinquishing that, and trusting that “right now” is not only enough, but the most nuanced, alive thing you can possibly watch. This is a lesson to learn over and over. Just allow. ” #actor #torontoactor #artist #headshot by @bretthoughton

But everyone else seems excited, so let’s celebrate Toronto’s favourite hockey team the way god intended — in the comfort of your own home, with your closest friends, free of judgement… right? A talented cutie named Greg shot this one. We shot it upstairs in his apartment. Last minute. Not even in his fav studio. He’s a tremendous photographer, and still says he’s “always looking to improve” so if you need new looks, get with him now before he admits how much his headshots are really worth. A genuinely kind, supportive person. An easy shoot with a caring guy. You should see what he can do IN studio. -Brett Brett is a man dedicated to his craft. On multiple occasions I’ve seen him take on characters that require delicate consideration and care, and do so in a way that appears effortless on screen and stage (but I can tell you first hand he puts in so much work). I’m glad to have earned his trust for his newest headshot, which is a new avenue for me in the photography world. I’m genuinely excited to see where his career takes him, and I promise any project would be lucky to bring his energy and talent on board! -Greg by @bretthoughton

Cannes 1/2 What a dream. We met heroes, made dear friends, drank the best wine and slept 0 collective hours. Watch Streams flow from a River, watch @appetiteseries and look out for @deadringers which blew us all away in the competition. Thank you to @faepictures and @canneseries. And thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone in these photos. Cannot wait to see you again. #actor #cannes #canneseries #cannesfilmfestival #redcarpet #pinkcarpet #streamsflowfromariver #photography taken in Cannes, France by @bretthoughton
