Today we said our final goodbye to Dad.

It’s a numb feeling knowing that I’ve spent my final day with my idol, mentor and father. I feel so beyond proud to call you my Dad. You did everything in your power to give Jake and I the best upbringing we could have asked for. I’ll always be in debt to you.

I hope you can look down and be proud of the son you have raised.

Everything you have taught me has defined the man I am today. I will keep moving forward knowing you’ll be right there with every step I take. Mum, Jacob and I will keep you in our thoughts every day.

Sydney 2026 in the books! 3:07:37 (4:25/km avg.)
Debut marathon and my first world major ticked off in one. Fortunate enough to be able to do it with Mum and Duncan cheering me on.

Sub 3 was the goal and I put so much of my heart and soul into the prep for this marathon. I knew leading into the race that it was going to be a big ask but I wasn’t going to die wondering. I hit 30km still on pace but the wheels fell off from there 😵‍💫

There’s something in setting really big and scary goals that I hope everyone gets to experience in their life. Sometimes you swing and miss but that’s the sport.

Running has changed my life for the better this year and that’s the real winner. A massive thanks to @jesseruncoach for all the coaching 🐐

Two months. Two half marathons. Two PB’s.

Early mornings, plenty of kilometres, a few physio appointments, and a lot of support from good people.

Grateful for the progress. Sydney up next.⏳
